Got a line on one, a head, good shape. $1400. Wonder if that's a decent price? Remember when these went for a lot less not too long ago.

In today's market, that's a decent price. Especially if not beat up. I think in good shape they’re floating more around 17-1800 now. Pre-Covid pricing is a long ways off now…?

Looks like some dings in the tolex, green led not working, and a bent toggle switch(?!), however that happens. But otherwise functions great. I'd also be making a road trip of a few hrs to grab it this weekend. On the fence.

So maybe not a great deal after all……how hard up are you to get a Tremoverb?

Not at all
From what you described and unless you like spending gas money and driving I would pass. Those are the kind of deals where it has to be too good to pass up and leave you plenty of room if the amp needs TLC. 1400 doesn’t seem like that to me.
With the T-verb, if you’re just going to use the typical recto tones out of it I wouldn’t go above and beyond to get one over a regular Recto. But if you’re into a better clean, nice verb and the blues setting it’s worth hunting down. I got mine purely by happenstance. GC had a used one and I thought “Oh, haven’t played one of those in forever”….liked it enough to make an offer and take it. Pre-Covid, so a fair bit less than $1400. But I also use the clean, verb and blues setting a fair bit with Orange vintage gain being the main hang.
If I didn’t have it I would probably look for a decent deal on a 2 channel G and do the mods to make it more like an earlier revision.

Thanks for the info! Appreciate it. I don't need another amp anyway! Lol
