NAD Hermansson 5 GS Marshall

i dig that, very unique and much smoother than i was expecting. what speaker?? my hermansson unfortunately has a problem that a couple techs havent been able to figure out so it looks like i gotta send it to henrick for a tune up which is why i havent done any clips of mine lately

V30 here. I basically cranked presence almost all the way, mids at 6 treble at 4. Then turned off all hair options. Cranked the punch, and just a tiny bit of tight knob.

intersting, i dont think i could get mine that smooth, it would be hurt your face bright with those settings and v30, maybe I’ll tell him tweak mine to be more like this
It has all the switches that he currently offers. I have most in the down position which seems to darken the amp, but still be real tight

Not bad. I agree with some others in that it's a little smooth for my personal taste. I played the one @mooncobra has recently. Really cool amp. Pretty wild design. I liked channel 3 a lot and could see getting into a single-channel version of that.

Yeah I’d use a bit more hair if in a full mix. But for solo listening I think this is about it. I always get “it’s too harsh” if it’s more bitey when it’s guitars only.

I actually prefer less hair on the gain. I like tons of mids. Borderline squawky '70s sound mixed with a modern metal level of distortion and growl. I'm not a fan of sizzle.

I always gear my tones for full mixes.

I know alot of guys here think it's too sizzly, too bright, not enough low end, etc

But the entire reason I gravitate towards those tones is that they fit in a mix better

A bit delayed on this, was real busy with holidays and everything. Love this amp. I didn’t bond with the recto I think because I’m a recto purist, but this thing is bad ass. Here’s a clip too I made super fast… click the arrow at the top for Google link or use the drop box.

This is straight in, no boost… with the tight on damn near zero lol. The guitar here is higher tuned than I usually use but was having a ton of fun. I’ll post some low tuned guttural shit soon.

How much was the Mod?
