I miss gettiing a schooling at every blues jam but truthfully last time I checked the printer's alley jam for jam night footage it seemed like a bunch of dudes that play other stuff getting together instead of actual blues players getting together to make music. Still, I miss being able to buy golden gate thumbpicks down at my LGS. You won't find that anywhere but Nashville.

i do not frequent broadway area at all so couldn't tell you whats going on down there. its nashville so there are always incredible guitarists around but yea overall the focus of the music has shifted to what i would best define as country-rap/pop. the focus on actual guitar playing is really not there so unless you're lookin for super underground stuff, there's just not much money in it (as much as there used to be anyway) the way i see it.

you can still see incredible old school musicians like the crew of the Time Jumpers on 3rd and Lindsley every Monday night but its a dying art...

I have deep switch to deep, punch knob cranked,mid switch to high mid, tightness to the highest as well as the tightness switch, gain at 6.5, hair switch to hair, more mids on the dark/more mids switch, and middle setting on the shimmering/full range switch, and presence at 9- I haven’t tweaked a ton yet though

If I used passives that’s what I’d use. Only played a guitar with them once but remember really liking them.

Yeah, I didn't want it to sound negative. I actually really like a Fortin Blade into a 2204.

I guess I'm not sold on all modded amps vs just boosting them.

I have a Monomyth modded 1987x that I love. I haven't owned a normal 1987x to boost but I would love to compare.

The video does sound good.
