Let’s face it; many amps that we all hold in high regard even used are selling for new prices today. My SD60 with switchable additional gain stage is coming in around 2900. Crazy days for sure…
I just went through a Wizard thread over on another forum and I was shocked as to how bad the OPs clips were…not in how he was playing so much, which was beginner-ish….hey that’s ok, not judging but he was SO out of tune! How the hell can you not hear that??I was shocked the first time I heard one of those guys from the forums, that has all the pricey amps and talks about tone with the utmost confidence and authority, play like I did when I was barely learning. I'm not great, but damn man. If you're gonna be out there talking tone and turning your nose up at anything but the best, at least have some chops to back it up.
Turns out, most of the best players I've heard throughout the years, play common gear, waaaayy better than me or most of the dudes I see in the forums and at the guitar shows.
Hoping the Naylor went to a good home.
You referring to Mr. “Rick won’t take my phone call”? He should be calling 1-800-Esteben to order some guitar lessons on VHSI just went through a Wizard thread over on another forum and I was shocked as to how bad the OPs clips were…not in how he was playing so much, which was beginner-ish….hey that’s ok, not judging but he was SO out of tune! Like LP says, I’m not great either but ok enough to make some extra cash on weekends for 30 years..and I can damn sure tell when I need to stop and tune the damn instrument.
Indeed I am. While I am no touring pro, I at least spend a little time with the instrument. You referring to Mr. “Rick won’t take my phone call”? He should be calling 1-800-Esteben to order some guitar lessons on VHS
