I can't wait for this to be sung live with Axl's new Mickey Mouse voice.

It's a trainwreck.

They started playing it live a month ago.

Had this been released when they recorded it the first time he would have been young enough to get some good vocals on it. That's the fucked part. You can hear how he would have sung it back in the day, because when he does that Mickey Mouse voice (very soft from the back of the throat) those would have been the moments he screamed.

At least we have the videos, so the past can't be forgotten:

It’s very cool I just think maybe a bad choice for a single

Oh yes, no doubting that GNR was a force to be reckoned with. Vocalists definitely have it harder than many band members, and Axl was right up there with the best of all time.

Listening to that live version though, it’s painful. The music isn’t great, either. I like “Perhaps” better, but that’s pretty much straight ahead popular rock.

I only got thru the song because I was driving and the wife was talking my ear off.
Wont be listening again.

I do feel though, that I haven't been a fan of the band since the Use Your Illusion albums...

Edit: seeing my comment, I should clarify that I didn't give a shit about the Use Your Illusion records. I only got into Appetite.

…this just ain’t rock and roll. They need to get honest with themselves. Love GnR but this just ain’t it. I hope someone tells them…

For what it’s worth, this tune Hard Skool found regular play on my home front. I was hopeful that we would see a Renaissance of sorts with GnR.

…saw them live in 2017. My all time lifetime fav show. It was a dream come true. Sounded better live. True to form. Truly cathartic.

I made a play list of all 4 new songs in order of release.i love all 4 songs . No shame here . Hard school is my fav but I like the new one . I get it

I fully expect bands to evolve but can’t help think the reunion was subject to re-recording the old album. It would have been better with cut back keys and forward guitars… and better vocals. No wonder Slash decided to continue with Myles Kennedy.

I can't say I've ever liked GNR's Radio Rock...

But this is pretty bad, LOL. Like LuLu bad.

The problem is the mske every song a single now . There’s no context when doing that . If you put all the singles together it’s like ok there’s a weird one . But they ONLY do singles now and not all songs are singles , it’s hurting them

Yes!! There is something to be said for a full album. I’m from an era of cassette tapes, and, you were basically compelled to listen to each side in arrangement. …the old myth was that fast forwarding or rewinding unnecessarily shortened the lifespan of the cassette. Suffice it to say, I’d love to see a new full GnR album.
