Yes, the RG100ES does have more low end than the Century 200II, but i'm not sure about the original Century 200?? They have a warmer sound than the Centuriy too, more Marshall like in a way. While the Century is just pure grind.
The Boss ge-7 is really noisy. Get yourself one of those new MXR 6 band EQ's. They're very quiet and they sound just as good as the old blue ones.
Mine was made around the same time.snagged up this 86 rg100es today, also got my L500xl in my carvin v220 so i figured id do a pantera clip quick. all i did was copy dimes settings from some pictures i have except im using a ge7 and ashly pq16 instead of the mxr and furman, single 57 on a jaguar like im assuming terry date did. i scooped a little at 1khz like ive seen vinny talk about, a couple other minor tweaks and thats it, spent all of 20 minutes total.

Don’t ignore the lower wattage combos; as long as they are from 84-90 they should all have the same circuits. I picked up an RG50 combo, run it to a 412 at 4 ohms and it’s a beast.
