Tempting . But it could be take long to get into the EU ...

Yeah, It's pretty tempting. I have an dual channel Egnater module I was going to send to Rob to mod into a Trilogy (5150 I, II, & III). Now I'm torn if I should still do that or get the 6505 module.

Dang, that will be interesting to hear, and I’m sure Youtube will be feeding me every content creator’s videos about it within a week, complete with gaping soyface thumbnails (with the alternate option of smug face while pointing at the module thumbnail).

A while back it seemed like maybe the Synergy stuff was dying off but a legit 5150 module is a pretty big deal if it sounds good.

Now this has me reinterested in the Synergy stuff.

I've wanted to go back down the OG 5150 path for a long time but the master volume on those amps is terrible. And I don't want to get into load boxes etc, or volume pedals in the loop... regardless of how good they are these days, been there done that with the OG. In fact why didn't PV fix the Master Volume on the new reissue 6505?

But this running into my Marshall or my EVH, or even just getting the full blown head w/ 6L6's so you're even more in the ballpark than some of the other modules, plus some great switching options...very interested.

Was anyone else's nerves on edge with the way the thing was propped up on the arm of his couch waiting for it to fall off? LOL

So yeah, sounds pretty good, just like a 5150/6505 should. I'm not going to jump on this right away, but it'll be added to my list.

@Bad.Seed just posted his video

And of course you have to have something comparing it to the real thing...

I could be in on that. Just got back in the modular game and so far I am loving the SLO pre. The SLO30 I had, not so much but the Syn1 going into a PS2 or JCM800 power section has been tits for me!

I also have the Vai, Deliverance, and BE mods.

The module sounds a bit more narrow and thin than the real deal but when you consider you shave off some lows when you mix .... a good option

Wasn't there a new v2 release of the Deliverance module planned too, or have the problems with that module been fixed already in those currently available from shops?

What problems? I have a Deliverance module and don't notice anything wrong with it.

Would somebody explain to me how they were able to recreate the 6505 preamp with only two 12AX7 tubes?

Doesn't the lead channel of the actual 6505 have like 6 gain stages?

The Syn-1 and Syn-2 units have an internal 12ax7 but yeah still less than the head.
