Good points to all - just to make clear - my comment about a bolt neck on an SG was strictly from a "mental obstacle" point of view as MichaelG mentioned - I have NO issues with tone, etc., from bolt necks. I have 3 set necks and 1 bolt neck now, and will be getting a bolt neck Suhr in a couple of months, and I used to have a bolt neck PRS CE24, so I don't think one is superior to the other - just different. My "issue" with a bolt neck SG is just an OCD-inspired mental one 
All that said, you guys are really helping me out here. The truth is, I do like the SG shape, and when I think of 12 string electrics, the first image that pops into my mind is Jimmy Page's double-neck SG, so that is the shape my brain associates with 12 string electrics......(I know some people would say the 12 string Ric is the quintessential 12 string electric, but that's just not what comes to my mind..)

BTW - didn't mean to hijack your thread Eric - that is a really nice looking guitar - you did a great job. Anyway you could post some clips?
