Don't like sharkfin inlays at all, don't like the Jackson headstock at all, don't like the Jackson tone at all. I like some of their finishes like the shattered glass one, but I'll stick with Caparisons.

It sounds kinda like mahogany only a bit clearer and tighter. The guitar is designed for low tunings, so it works real well for that.
And I have no idea if she's touching herself...she could be.

So do you really, truly feel that the Jackson looks "boring"? Or is it just because you don't like Jacksons?
I mean, I'm not partial to either guitar, but when I look at the Jackson, "boring" doesn't come to mind. If the 2 guitars are compared, if anything I would say the Caparison looks more "boring" than the Jackson.

Boring looking guitar IMO, plus it's over $2000 new.
I don't know if I'd call it "boring"
Even if you don't like Jacksons, I don't see what makes it "boring".

Dunno if I would say better, because I love mahogany. It sounds great though, that's for sure. Gives you a pretty cool tone considering not many other guitars have a walnut body. I'd imagine it would be extremely tight and clear sounding if it were tuned up to E.

I live right down the street from Fuller's Vintage Guitar here in Houston, who anyone who knows Jacksons, knows they have a ton of high end, one off, custom shop Jackson stuff...anywhooooo, I saw one of those in there, and thought it looked cool, started playing and noticed that the veneer, (yes veneer ) top, was SOOO thin, that on the edges, where it was beveled off to the body, that it was actually chipped, for about 4-5 inches, under the clearcoat. Yeah folks.....that's a quality instrument right there.
I believe Fuller's was selling that particular guitar for around the 2200 mark.
