There was a time when there was huge concern over how to manage all the horse shit in NYC. What with the growing population and horses/carriages becoming more common.

I'm not saying it's not a problem just saying that often things change in ways we didn't imagine.

This virus is for real in terms of very hard to stop.

Indeed, mate, and that's the unknowable factor that adds to my assertion that developed countries have not only plateaued but by-and-large are experiencing shrinking if not for immigration.

Of course, relying on immigration intake for the economic boost, in Maggie-Thatcher terms, would be like socialism - eventually you run out of other people's money to spend, or in this case, bodies to import.

What I find a bit strange is that it appears that this virus isn't that bad in terms of what it does to you or how it makes you feel. Apparently the flu is noticably worse and we have that every year to varying degress, usually with worse death rates.

That's strange because from what I had heard it was spread thru contact, not airborne/aerosol.

Damn I just loaded up on Sani wipes and Isopropanol. BTW, 70% isopropanol (aka rubbing alcohol) is better than 91% or more for sanitizing. Reason, it works by denaturing enzymes and enzymes are more easily denatured in the presence of water.

It does appear what I wrote was wrong.

But the denominator in that equation (# of people that have it) is a big unknown because many people have no or very little symptoms.

Are Coronavirus' normally airborne? This virologist says, no. If not, is this a mutated strain?
I know this much mate... it's a virus, and all viruses share the same basic weaknesses, like intolerance of heat.

Exactly. I heard a professor say today that due to the likely-vast unreported number of folks who experienced it as a temporary dry cough and other mild symptoms, if any noticeable ones at all, the figure is likely to be well below 1%.

that new cattle decap song bring back the plague was very well timed lol. i posted a meme about that over at tgp and someone said it was in bad taste lol.

Just sharing. :)

Always remember to wash your hands people with soap and water. And please, save your hard earned money wasted on that purell crap for a Twinky, or a little sumpin!

Don't panic or Mr. Vibrainium will pay you a visit. Talk to you in a few weeks . . . ;)

On side note and for some fun. Anyone (outside of admin) know what the stack is in our RT Logo?
