I'm hearing these people on TV say that store shelves are empty, etc.

I travel a lot and every store I've been to has been business as usual. Not out of anything, hand sani for days, etc.

Maybe the US gov is thinking, "Lets not throw a bunch of money at this only to have it not make much difference. Lets just let it run its course, killing only the weak or elderly and barely causing a cold with everybody else."

The problem with that hypothesis is that it still punishes that precious stock market.
