Anybody please help me out. I need somebody with some basic math skills to solve this little thing here.

Please help my friend and me figure out how to find 3000 is what percentage of 7.7 billion? In another way, (3000 = x% * 7.7billion)? :aww:

Math is meaningless when you have model misspecification. Casual empiricism = GIGO.

Easy, bro':

7.7 bill = 7 700 000 000, so you can easily punch this into your calculator:

The fraction is:
3000 / 7 700 000 000 = 0.00000038961039

So the % is that x 100:
0.00000038961039 x 100 = 0.000038961038961%

A more-comprehensible way of looking at it might be:
7 700 000 000 / 3000 = 25 666 667
So 1 in 25 666 667 people.

Definitely something to panic about. Spray those toxic fumes all over me now please, dear authorities. I'd rather be poisoned than take my 1 in 26 million chance. Besides, I don't know what an immune system is. Just pump me up with whatever drugs you deem fit; I trust you implicitly.

No worries, my good neighbor Galafanamalanacalakis solved it for me. It's exactly 0.000003%. Not too-too shabby for folk music. :)

Since there's no more TDS, at the moment, what's in the next allergy season cycle's coming attractions, Hypochondriac Pandamania Disorder, or what? :poke:

That's the current one, isn't it? HPD?

They might as well call it HPD2019, and the next can be HPD2020 and so on. Best they keep it simple; there's enough to worry about, and besides, we're all stupid lackies anyway. :poke:

Or MM, and maybe they could go back to basics, back to the pragmatism of the HAL9000 for some clarity and Grandfatherly applicable advice. What do they have to lose? They've nothing more to poke at Trump so now the Dems are the one's "manufacturing a crisis". And please spare me and don't go of the rails and suggest that I am suggesting that the CV isn't real, so let's move on. Y'all remember the effen TRUMP MANU[MOTHEREFEN]FACTURED SOUTHERN BORDER CRISIS eons ago the Dems were all up in arms about! Talk about coming full circle into more sensationalism and hyped up chaos to do nothing more than add to the anxiety that folks are already dealing with at home for reasons that I can feel sure that are more immediately important than hunting down rubbing alcohol in a frenzy.

The whole paradigm where the germ is to be feared is fucked-up. Allopathic Medicine, I believe they call it. When first introduced over 100 years ago, every man and his dog laughed his / its head off, saying (I imagine dogs must've been able to talk back then) "Geez man, the cure's worse than the disease"... and they were right. Slap enough of those cures back-to-back and you've chipped away a chunk of your lifespan / life-force / resilience (mental and physical) / immune system.

But I digress. Yes, HAL might be just the ticket for the Dems to run against Trump. My guess is "he'd" be seen as centrist... and a whole lot more-exciting than Obiden.

Coming attraction is economic malaise. And Mr. Economy is feeling very feverish because decisive leadership is wanting.

If Mr. Economy falls ill, the King has no clothes.

Ruh, roh.

That may be Mr. Economy's feverish feeling at this moment.

On a side note. I just consulted with another good feller neighbor of mine adjacent, Mr. Magoo. The good man informed me on his insight into the matter, this here whirlwind of fear about this here breakout, outbreak, distraction, whatever. The good man assured me that I'd be more likey to be stuck by his wandering golf ball than anything else. So we're good. :lame:

I Lamed Myself :-)

And people wonder why so many of us don't trust "experts".

Interesting response. What do you know about COVID-19 that the experts do not? :student:
I shared a bunch of facts that are relevant to all viruses here in this thread, mate. Incredibly, the experts appear to ignore them.

Good on them, I say.

That said, there'd surely be pressure on officials, especially politicians, not to be seen to be feeding fear, so if it's not already a part of the equation, it may well be as things ramp up, which they will, 'cause that's how feedback loops work!

So maybe now let's all simply greet with the BF. In so much as we have safe-sex, we have safe-shaking. Please wash your knuckles first.
