The myth of the noble savage is just that….a myth. Never hear anything about the aborigines….what did they do to the Aussie people? Rape….cannibalism…nothing? I am being honest here…I’m completely in the dark about that part of Australias history.

I agree. No person or group is ever just good or bad, and not all "Native" Americans were innocent. Certainly at least some of the settlers were guilty. But if you step back, overall we see a displacement of one people with another, and at least in some cases by force. And today the Indian population is largely a broken people. The situation in Palestine/Israel is more recent, evidenced and egregious.

Israeli retaliation against a brutal, cowardly, murderous attack is more egregious than the US government policy of removing Indians by force, putting them on reservations and forcing their children into catholic schools back east and beating the Indian out of them ?

Jesus Christ man, get a grip. If you really believe that I can't understand why you aren't already on a plane to go fight with Hamas.

Would you just STFU already Pocahontas? You're dumber than a bag of arrowheads. First, the response is disproportionate and obviously so. You are a programmed NPC of the highest degree if you can rationalize the murder of thousands of children and the displacement of millions of people because of a single event that you still don't even know exactly what happened. It wouldn't be proportionate even if Israel conclusively demonstrated that Hamas raped and killed 1200 Israeli babies. Second, I was referring to the 75 year history of the treatment of Palestinians compared to the centuries long engagements between various Europeans and various indigenous people spanning an entire continent. Finally, I don't need to go fight with anyone in order to legitimize my calling out backwards, inbred, retard primitives like yourself.

If anything, the European colonization was a bit of a step up in terms of good/evil if you could judge this sort of thing. European colonization/conquering of Native American lands is bad because it is taking land inhabited by a group of people that already lay claim to the area. What do people think the various Native American tribes were doing to each other? They were doing the exact same shit in terms of aggressively vying for control and exploitation of land/resources amongst themselves, and I put them a notch up on the evil scale because for most of these groups, a very large part of their societies and how they functioned was straight up genocide and enslavement of competing tribes. It was not a common thing for Europeans to go in, brutally hack or bludgeon to death Native men, boys and babies, then enslave the women as sex slaves or people to do slave work in their tribe, but for many tribes, this was completely normal. People act like the concept of empathy is a natural thing and isn't something that has taken civilizations, namely European thousands of years to develop to be what is constituted as good and moral behavior or a way of thinking.

You try brain tanning enough animal hides to have a roof over your head and some blankets for your bed enough to survive a brutal north american winter. You gotta be a little more hard nosed about putting people to work to get it done if you don't have a logging team and rifles. Also consider not every tribe was war like and aggressive. We are talking about many dozens of various tribes and a detailed, yet forgotten history to most of them.
