Screams without proof: questions for NYT about shoddy ‘Hamas mass rape’ report

After dismantling a New York Times front page feature alleging “a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7” by Hamas, The Grayzone is demanding answers of the paper for its journalistic malpractice.

The following was submitted to New York Times editors and lead author, Jeffrey Gettleman.

South Africa’s Proof Of Israel’s Genocide In Gaza

As it is brought before the World Court, the international community now faces the issue of whether Israel violated the Genocide Convention. Israeli officials will of course continue to deny vehemently that Israel has any such intention, and claim that harm to civilians was incidental to its need to eliminate Hamas.

But the South African document systematically catalogues a large number of the most explicit statements of genocidal intent imaginable from the part of top officials of the Israeli government and military.

Far from being secretive about the intention, these officials were eager to tell their own people and the world that that they were going eliminate the Palestinians by force, and do so in a way that was thorough and complete.

The Palestinians were dehumanized and demonized by Netanyahu and other top officials as enemies that could and should be dealt with as animals rather than as humans, reflecting a long-time popular Zionist theme that has surfaced increasingly in recent years. But Oct. 7 presented the opportunity for the civilian and military leadership to encourage an orgy of genocidal hatred for the Palestinians.

When I first moved to New York I was greeted by a billboard on I-90 blaming the state’s deficit on Indian reservations selling cheap cigarettes
It took me way too long to move the fuck back out of that state

Not in the sense that it's all colonialism and now a large colony exists and time has moved on and many of the people that are now living there aren't responsible for it. I am only complaining about the Muslim terrorists that attacked them because they are animals and now getting their just desserts.

However corporately as a nation the US and Britain were in history largely responsible for the creation of Israel and you ought to acknowledge it's there for that reason i.e. because of the actions of your Goverments. So why complain about any injustice to Palestinians who acted like stereotypical "mad arab terrorists" and launched terrorist attacks against Israel which is there legitimately partially due to the actions of your country. If you want them to "go home" to Europe then everyone in North America and Australia who isn't indigenous ought to go home to Europe and the UK or where ever. Which is plainly absurd at this pont in time and likewise for the Israelis.
 
When two groups, or countries are causing conflict on a global scale, threatening the well being of the rest of the planet, they need to go. Russia, Ukraine, Hamas, Israel, Palestine, Gaza. They call can't settle their differences diplomatically in 2024, fuck em. They all need to go. Adapt mother fuckers. I don't think people have enough to do in their lives, first and foremost and people in power, that seek power, have ZERO passion for anything other than power. A completely fucking diseased mindset. Yes, I acknowledge that the US and Brits had a hand in creating the mess. And I'm arguing that it is yet another injustice for Israel to inflict this sort of damage to a civilian population, whether they "Supported" Hamas or not. That by the way was Bin Laden's excuse for targeting American civilians. And remember, Netanyahu "Supported" Hamas too. While Oct 7 is spun as a terrorist attack with hundreds of dead raped beheaded babies and so on, emerging evidence shows that it was a preplanned military strike — IE not a "terrorist" attack, with the bulk of the civilian deaths likely caused by the Israelis themselves. I'm still not sure why you continually argue that violence is justified for one side but not the other.

So you are saying Israel should cower behind covered wagons while the Indians pick them off one by one and not fight back...

How do you propose they should fight an enemy that is deliberately hiding amongst the populace rather than putting on uniforms like a proper army to distinguish themselves. They are using the tactics of cowards and terrorists. They shouldn't get away with it.

I think it's ridiculous to think Israel should just sort of accept these attacks and let them continue ad infinitum. It's like the stupid laws in Australia that say we can't murder a home invader - even if they come in with a gun or knives and bash someone. That is one US law I wish we had here. Stand your ground.

The Israeli military just admitted to killing 3 hostages who were waving white flags and yelling in Hebrew. And troops have talked about shooting missiles and tank mortars into Israeli civilian structures. And there's the Hannibal directive I just referenced. But if it makes you feel better to continue as if that's not real, have fun with that.

Where's the evidence that Hamas is "hiding" among the civilians? You are no different than any third rate libtard if you're going to just mindless accept whatever propaganda your fed.
