The Ecstasy also has three channels, which Layne's early amp had.I was watching Hollywood '92 footage and before he plays Angry Chair, he goes down the options on his footswitch, Hi-Gain, Mid-Gain, Clean, and begins playing. Plays main riff twice and turns on Mid-Gain.

Settings on my Ibanez DS-7 pedal:
Hi-Gain: 5 o' Clock
Mid-Gain: 12 o' Clock
Clean: 7 o' Clock

This guitar was finally destroyed by accident on tour in 93 at the Rotterdam show and here is the video of its destruction at around 1:00 minute

Layne used a 91 or 92 SG standard (black pickguard) as a backup to his 67 SG.

FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!! Rock on, Layne!!!!

Oh yeah, I've also heard that before Jerry switched to the JH-1 wah, he had a modded GCB-95 wah. Do you know what mods he did to it? I've heard he did True Bypass, Mid Boost, and a Voice mod.

He is using a prototype of his new wah coming out. Its not a hendrix one.

Oh cool. Well i heard that on Facelift he used a modded GCB-95 and on Dirt and on he used the JH-1. Then he used the Dimebag model. So now he's got a signature wah? Cool.

I use to go see these guys when they were still Diamond Lie; Cantrell used one of those little Randall rg 80's back then   .

Haha. What year? Did they have Layne? Also, by, I'd say 1989, Jerry Had 1960A/1960B cabs with a JCM800 or JCM900 that he used live and on the Treehouse Tapes.

Jeez, around '87 I think

I also saw Alice n Chainz, or however way they spelled it, even before then in Tacoma at the Tacoma Little Theater it was a crack up, total glamfest, Diamond Lie was pretty freak'n glam back then too. I ended up seeing AIC in a bunch of different places around Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue they were kind of the "go to" band back then, they're shows always had a decent draw and the chicks were hot so there ya go

Back when they had the "Z" I think thats when the Bacolas brothers were in the band or at least Yanni was.

Later on during the Second Coming stuff from 94 they were working on Layne and Maxi did not get along.

I have no idea who was in the band when I saw them, they announced something like "Straight from L.A. blah, blah, blah" so I don't even know if Layne was even in there yet, but I remember the name and the band, it was a giant goof. Hell, I wish I still had all of my old music publications like the Rocket, and City Lights I'd scan that shit for people to have a good laugh.
I only remember talking to Jerry once at the Rock Kandy when it was still open, he was playing pool with this cute ass brunette, I didn't much care about talking to him I was on the make for his chick. :D

Anyone know where I can find a 1967 SG Standard?

I got mine on Ebay. It is being restored and brought up to Layne specs (reverse mounted neck pickup, white PG, tune-o-matic, amber Les paul knobs) should be done later this month.

I just scored a G&L ASAT Deluxe with the 3 bolt neck plate same specs as Jerry's.

I will update with pics real soon. I also have the Jerry mod 91 Fish preamp pics uploading right now...

if you scroll down this topic, Wade from Motorcity pickups says Cantrell's Rampages are actually maple, and not Alder like everyone thinks/says.

He seems like a good source since Jerry is using MC pups in all of his guitars now.
