Here's my latest: Cameron Ocean (50 watt) just bought from Chris (jcmtone). Just want to add that Chris was great to deal with and the amp arrived in LESS than 24 hours! Thanks Chris!

So now that the Honeymoon is over...how do you like it?

I'll let you know soon. I'm having the 6550's ditched in favor of EL34's. One thing I do like (and I'm comparing to CCV clips only) is that it has this killer grinding rythm tone that reminds me a lot of the CCV. Specifically, the video on youtube that's 3:12 long with Mark playing. I can't wait to hear it with EL 34's. I don't get along with 6550's.

Same for me with 6550's and Marks mods, they LOVE SED 34's

Man, some of you guys have killer amp collections! I wish I kept every MC modded amp I have had...

The only one left is a '69 50 watt 1987 with Mark's Low Gain "Jose" mod, with a few twists. Check out the dual switchable masters on the back that are both push pull and also have a mini toggle for more gain, a bass boost, an FX insert and more.... This baby is my workhorse amp for gigs, but the Lee Jackson modded 100 watter really thumps too and is remarkably a lot like the Cameron/"Jose" mod but with a little more gain and mids. The small LED on the front was already installed (by some friggin' hack along with holes in the back chassis) so it's not a "sleeper" looking amp if one knows what to look for.

I know this isn't a Cameron-modded amp, but the work is similar even though it was done 20+ years ago.

Ok....Here is my "KN100V". An amp based on the CCV but with some twist's thrown in. Clean channel is just that..Clean with massive headroom and the EQ'ing is active. It's based on Marks circuit he did when He was working for standel. Has bright switch and gain style switch for this channel. Channel 2 is high gain CCV only..no bright switches or gain style switches because I never use them so why have them there huh?? lol!! Anyways..If anybody has noticed that I haven't been buying or selling any amps in the last few months or year?? This amp is why...

my newest HG/LG Jose I havent played this one yet. I have another that is my #1 (need some pics still)

2002 Plexi 50 1987x Ald/Ocean combo type mod. The indicator light has been replaced w/ a Deep knob. All mods are invisible on the outside except for that.

Shit, I have 4 Boogies worth less than one Wizard or Diezel! IIC+, III, IV and V. I am selling the V though when I get around to it. Its a toy compared to the older ones. I gigged with the III the other night. Love that amp. Put that amp on the "oh shit" setting and leave it. Waiting on a head shell for the IIC+ from Mesa. Its in a rack mount right now. Its not much different from the III-Red Stripe though.
