So I’ve been on the road 40+ years fixing appliances, seen all manner of dogs, cats, snakes, including a 21 ft python roaming around the house, every reptile under the sun, ring tailed lemur’s, pet armadillos, pet raccoons and stuff I’ve forgotten about…
None of that stuff was a problem at all, I’ve learned to read animals pretty quickly over the years, there were a few things I chose to avoid, they were just being protective and I totally get that… No problem. I’ll just do my thing and I’m outta there before things go sideways…..
But one day 2 years ago I go to this house and the lady answers the door, and she has a capuchin monkey on her shoulder with a leash that she is holding..
“Your not afraid of little monkeys are you?”
Every internal warning mechanism in my body is dimed and redlined…
“Well, honestly I’m not sure about him, I don’t have any experience with monkeys “
“We’ll just lean in and let him see your ok and that I’m ok with you and it’ll be fine”
I look at him and he leans in and hisses at me and shows me he has teeth like a great white shark…
“Uh, I think I would prefer that you secure him somewhere before I come in, my first impression is that he wants to eat my face”
She laughed and said “he’s just very protective of me “ I’ve had him since he was a newborn “
She puts him up and I do my thing and go to the next one…..
Last week I have to go back there for another repair and again she answers the door with him on her shoulder..
But something’s different..
“Ma’am, you know I really don’t care to work with that godless face eater running around, can you put him up like last time?”
I said it in kind of a funny matter so she didn’t get offended, but I meant every word of it, that thing terrified me and moved like a ninja on speed…
“Well, he can’t really do any damage now, 9 months ago he attacked my husband and they had to do a lot of surgery to fix his face and neck, so he took him and had all his teeth pulled out”

😳😳😳😳
“Yeah I’d rather you just put up that godless face eater so I can get you fixed up..
Thank you”

my wife has wanted one for years. Fuck that. Primates, reptiles and pitbulls are verboten here.
I have had many pitbulls. I have one now. He's chill unless you start shit, act aggressive or are raising your voice in anger. I never had any real problems but if any of my dogs showed that kind of aggression it'd have a bullet in it before it took a other breath.

I would gladly beat an aggressive monkey to death and probably even get a little a little pleasure knowing no one wlll get their face chewed off. What kinda idiot let's a.monkey live after it chewed someone? Damn people are stupid.

Both my neighbors have one and they seem to be really nice dogs. Especially the female. She literally stands over all the kids and walks them to and from our houses. Kinda changes my mind about them. Then you see on the news where they have killed or maimed someone.

I love dogs of all kinds and I’ve been around most all of them at one time or another. The ones that concerned me had likely been mistreated and were very suspicious of humans. It’s just weird how things can be fine then go sideways for no apparent reason with some of them.
Those dam face eating monkeys are a whole new level of evil. Thing scared the shit out of me.

You made the right call on that one..........Want to really scare yourself... look up Chimpanzee attacks, like you said, they go for the face and throats.

I know people will say it's all how you raise them but my ex-wife was an insurance agent and guess which dogs had the most attacks???? I will also add every PITBULL story starts the same way........"They were such a wonderful dog, I don't know what happened, they just snapped and went into fight mode".......and so on and so on. My best friends wife is animal control for the county and her leg got absolutely mauled by a Pitbull, she literally has PSTD when she has to approach them now, she also thought she knew how to control and read a dog behavior.....she said it was like a switch was turned on and then off right after her attack.

My ex-wife wanted a 40 pound Mancoon cat, we already had a regular 10 pound cat who i raised from a kitten who was sweet as hell but still had claws and she could still over do it when playing but..... I could grab her by the nape of the neck like mother cats and that would stop her in her tracks whenever she got over excited. Grabbing the loose skin between the shoulders correctly causes cat's to freeze.

I could not imagine having to hold down a 30-50 cat. I told my ex so you want a cat 4 times her size.......FOOOOOOOOK NOOOOOOOOO.:loco:

The neighbors around the corner from us have one, he’s actually very calm and steady.
He’s a bit older, so that may have something to do with it. He is huge though, he’s every bit of 45-50 lbs. A few years back I did see him chasing a spotted fawn across this field near our place. The doe caught up and kicked the crap out of him and it was over, but he was a badass when he was younger.

No offense to you or anyone else but most people cannot.pick the pitbull out of a lineup of bully or game type dogs. Unless an animal is papered and pedigreed it's a mix, or .mutt for the purposes of sale.

In temperament tests the pit scores above average compared to other breeds but obvious when a pit loses its shit there is more damage than a lap dog can create.

And then we get to the crux of the subject. A true pit is a dog bred to fight other dogs to the desth, not bite people. It's called gameness and it means even if the dog has to slide across the pit on bloody stumps to continue ue attacking it will do so until it can no longer physically do it. A dog that quits is called a cur and is discarded in terms of a fighting breeding program.

I was involved with breeding a little bit in the 90s and I saw firsthand the move away from dogs with a square fighting physique with solid temperament to line and inbreeding for wide chests and big heads which look cool but are utterly useless in the fighting arena. The abomination that resulted is now called an American. Bully. The breed has suffered big time thanks to a deviation from breed standard which was inevitable since fighting dogs or even attending a dog fight is a felony. I still know where to look for true game bred dogs and the lines of champion fighters but you are gonna pay serious money. That said, I would never personally fight my animals and none of the dogs I have now are true game bred dogs. Ever see a blue pit? It's not a pit at all. What most people say is a pit is just a generic look that a couple dozen breeds could be mistaken for.

Well crap the video didn’t load
Not sure what happened. That is some gnarly face eatage. That poor lady
