I think if these were 24-2700 they would fly off the shelves
Yeah. I know this was emotional for Ola, but honestly, the best sound I have heard from him besides on albums was that folkesson modded marshall. That thing sounded fucking hugeIt’s interesting. I was looking forward to this (mostly for the chrome chassis) but the demos seem lackluster to me. I also wish it was offered in a triple rec. my understanding is they changed the clean channel and it’s not quite an F not quite a G? A straight triple F reissue in chrome would be awesome
Price is a little stout... I think it sounded good, personally, but $3499 is crazy.I think if these were 24-2700 they would fly off the shelves
I put JJ 6CA7's in the MW I had, and it loved those tubes. Total beast.I put some winged c in my multi watt Triple today and it Fuchs so much more than this. Shocked to be honest.
Yup, definitely still needs a boost pedal lol

Agreed.I really liked the way this amp sounds on this video.
With his white guitar was way better than the red one.
I'm not expecting this amp to sound, without any boost pedal, as tight and clear, the way a Hermansson or a Ground Zero do. I also think every single Rev F and Rev G I've ever heard, that was stock, sounded like absolute ass, when trying to play fast riffs or chugging. And I've had many of them over the years. So, again, I'm not being unrealistic and expecting this reissue to sound like a Hermansson or a Ground Zero without a boost. That would never happened. It would also never happen with either an original F or a G Revision.
Even the Rev C, D and E, which are way tighter than ANY stock F or G, as good as they sound when plugging straight in, they do sound way better still with a good boost in front of them.
So, yes... I really liked his tone on this video. And it does sound like a great mid to late 90s DR.
Curious what pickups he had in his Solar and what they do for a tighter, straight in, toneAgreed.
To me, like Killertone's vid this amp does sound tighter straight in vs the few early G duals I had. Even boosted, those struggled to be tight. And, yes I had the Maxon TS9 which is the preferred boost with many Rectos. This seems way more F than G....although the G Triples were much tighter than the Duals.
