Kinda like sour sop soup?
Tangy. Cabbage. Radish onion.
Really good.

I was going to ask you what beef pork soup was exactly Mailmandan. Never heard of it but it looks yummy.

Getting hungry

The main ingredient for the flavor is Tamarin powder. Gives it the sour.
It gets absorbed in all the veggies. The meat is pre boiled. As it’s boiling I add the tamarin.
Then the veggies. Daikon radish. Cabbage. Red hot chilies.
These were cooked with a half rack pork ribs. Cut up. The meat falls off the bone but absorbed all that flavor. Pour it over a cup of rice. Man soooo good.
Yes my wife is Asian and I steal lot of her recipes.

311...
You can never be too much when it comes to cooking!
Lot of great guys here. We all gravitate to the cooking.
I love it Just as much as playing guitar.

Do you like sauerkraut? Love me some, especially with beef or pork sausage links.

Love sauerkraut!!
Had a amp fest bout 10 years back. Was a hit!
Had guys from Ohio and Indiana show up to Michigan.
Had about 12 cabs. 8 amps. 15 pedals. It was great.
Maybe in the future.
Oh man. Might have to slip on my chili boots.

^ sounds great

Heading to my cabin with some buddies for an extended weekend this Thursday. They told me my dinner contribution is chili.

Just made this sausage, egg and cheese casserole. You know. To get some greasy protein base coat going before Superbowl Sunday.

Dear sweet god. I could live on that daily.

I do the zero carb diet. Lots of fats. Protein.
Eggs. Meat cheeses. Lol
That looks like paradise :D

Get this, Dan:

I just heard a restaurant guy say that he went recently to Heston Blumenthal's local restaurant here in Melbourne. It used to be called The Fat Duck IIRC and is now known as Dinner By Heston.

He paid $300 and was fed 18 "tasty" morsels. He only liked 3 of them, and was hungry when he walked out, so he stopped at a McDonalds drive-through on the way home for a burger.

I love it!!

I cooked a angus beef burger last nite.
No bun just A1 and onions. :D
Damn that hit the spot. This patty had to been half a pound.

We need to put the bug in "UbershallEL34's " ear about this thread.
He is a Texas grill master.

Please do! I haven’t seen him on here in a while. Unless I’m missing his posts.

Edit. Dug little deeper. Found him. Sent a pm. :D

I made some chili back when it was a little cooler here in Houston area, was freaking ridiculous. Maybe not that watery gravy chili for competition but was definitely the best chili I’ve ever made or eaten. I cheated a little as the ingredients I used I got from one of my favorite local BBQ places here in town but essentially the chili consisted of:

Ground beef
Smoked Brisket
Smoked pork butt
Smoked sausage
Reconstituted dried peppers
12 oz black coffee
12 oz bock beer

If I had a pic you’d cover your device in drool, I’ll see if I can scrounge one up, or make it again if we ever get a hint of winter this year.

Awesome!! In the original ‘what’s cooking’ thread from few years ago I did some Crock pot chili.
Yeah nobody wants the water version. I want mud!

This was semi thick but not wallpaper paste. The flavor from the smoked meat and the dried chilis that your rehydrate kicked it up to new levels of good. Oh and I also used about a teaspoon of Hellfire Hot Sauce’s “Fiery Fool” which added an incredible heat to the chili. A few spoons into the bowl you’d feel the heat build and the more you ate the warmer it got. Kids could only eat 4-5 spoons then was too hot.

Ya, four flavours of smoked meat & chilli? How can you go wrong?

Angus beef's been very-popular here in Oz for a long time. You can even buy Angus-beef party pies from the supermarket.

I can't wait for the day when I get to taste Wagyu beef. Been looking forward to it since the original Iron Chef series days, but alas, on my budget... :D

Got these on sale. 6 quarter pound patties for $3.00!!
Eat these bastards daily!
