Once again.... WHATS COOKING?!

My favorite summer dessert. Fresh watermelon slices...a little salt on top, squeeze a lime on top and let it sit with some fresh basil.

Here are couple random black bean gumbo type soups I've come up with that I make all the time now, especially when it gets colder. Not pretty but super tasty.

Cook it for 475-500 until it crisps the edges. Hit it with the broiler until you like the cheese brownness. Pull it out and let it sit in the pan and finish cooling and the bottom will cook in the pan. Add fresh basil.

Home made pizza dough. Sauce, mozz, bell pepper, onion, turkey pep, black olives, fresh tomatoes.

I prefer not to poke holes in the crust and let it puff up a touch.

425 for 19 minutes. Perfection!!

Just came off the Weber. Stuffed with lemon slices and basted with a compound lemon butter. ~400 degrees for just over an hour. Super moist. Didn’t take a picture of the homemade dressing. Gawd… I LOVE dressing 😍

Award winning chicken and noodles? Yes, sir. Need grub for football tomorrow, so the process starts today. Post 1 😀

Step 1 - two whole chickens, stuffed with quartered apples (moisture) and dusted with Montreal Steak seasoning, prepped for the Weber. Side note: the Weber Genesis, with just the two outside burners at just below half, will hold 400 degrees (plus or minus a couple), without supervision…

Step 2 - 75 (plus or minus 3 minutes) later… Let the chickens rest for about an hour.

Step 3 - rip flesh from bone and collect the juices.

To Be continued (tomorrow)…

Drools
licks lips.

Looking for an invite.

Bring the chicken stock to a boil. Add the egg noodles and then return to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add butter (salted, the way God intended), and the gelatinous chicken drippings 😀. Simmer for 20 minutes and then add the chicken. Simmer and season to taste.
