No one responds to posts unless they're political or religious in nature. You should know that. ;) I'm listening now. It's Kinda Psalty Dog sounding I guess. I think it represents your taste in music well. I like stuff a bit raunchier normally. It's quality though. Good job.

Yeah, I know. ;)

I don't even know who Psalty Dog is... I guess I'd like them? I'm a little sheltered, ya know... This is one of our raunchier songs. Some of the other tunes are a little more radio friendly, but still rock songs.

Dude you don't know who Psalty Dog is! WTF! Tell me you know who the Four Horsemen are at least? Psalty Dog was your basic southern AC/DC sounding good ol' boy rock band like the FH. They had a pretty decent song called Come Along and I think one about cocain or some such. They only had one album that I was aware of, but maybe they had more. We used to jam to some Come Along when we were drunk and 19-20 years old. Your song was pretty raunchy, but I like it REALLY raunchy. I woulda dug you guys in my 20's, but I've grown darker sounding since then I think.

I thought it was very good. It's not really my thing at all either, but it was really good. I loved the guitar tones. That VHT and Mesa sounded really nice paired up.

LOL! Dude, I told you I'm sheltered when it comes to music! :) I used to play a song by the Four Horseman, but I can't think of the name of it right now. It was pretty cool, but never went over well with the audience, so we dropped it (this was a former band.)

I'll have to check me out some Psalty Dog!

Was it "Rockin' is Ma Business?" I used to do that one. My buddy still covers "Wanted Man" by the FH. It is literally a E then Esus or whatever key it is in, all the way through with a short few seconds down a step. Rockin is Ma Business was your basic 1-4-5, but it rocked pretty hard IMO. I still like it.

Salty dog rocks ...I have them on cassette.
The mix sound good to me chris....

Seeing the name Salty Dog really brings back memories lol.

Back in the 80's here in the Buffalo area there was a killer hard rock/metal club called the Salty Dog, alot of cool bands played there

I think it sounds good, and I like the tune, but that drummer feels kinda all over the place.

Sounds good to me Chris. The vocals were the weakest part, but not bad, just could be a bit stronger. Nice guitar tones too, good thick mix....

Let me know when I can buy a CD. I think I am obligated now :scared:

It's weird to hear that when there are tons of guys out there that can't sing to save their lives. For example, Stephen Pearcy from Ratt, the guy from Soul Asylum, Toby Keith, David Bowie, etc... Our singer isn't exactly Dream Theater material, but we're not trying to do that anyway.

That sounded snippy, but I didn't mean it that way. I think his vocals fit perfectly with what we're doing and he's doing a better job than most of the singers I've seen in local bands (that's for sure.) :)

He sounds good for the stuff you're doing IMO. Did you check out the Salty Dog link I put up?

Nah, I don't have PC speakers here at home right now, so I can't listen to anything. I will tomorrow at work, though.

Blah blah blah. Just admit it, you don't want to hear 80's greatness at it's finest! ;)

I finally got to listen ...

IMO honestly ... for what it's worth ...

that fucking rocked all over the place

and funny ... I'm kind of opposite with alot of stuff mentioned ... so maybe this will be a opinion to balance some of the others out

I don't hear anything Southern about this song at all
Your singer kicks all kinds of ass ( granted you heard him reach a little here and there but what do you want Celine Dion ?? ) I think he's one of the best unprofessional singers I've ever heard

hearing the Rectoverb in the mix has furthered my gas for one ( I just dig that voicing )

the guitars I think could have been mixed a little different ... not better just a little different frequency wise
I dug all the playing
I thought the lead started out great and was waiting for a little double time with some fast nasty stuff but the lead break didn't last that long ( a bit disapointing ... but more radio friendly I suppose )

I feel weird picking apart someone else's stuff ...

I could see that song sitting on the radio anywhere from 89 to the present .... great heavy rock tune

look forward to hearing the rest of the disc

i give it a listen on laptop speakers, so may not be hearing everything?

anyways, thought it had some pretty good guitar tone, and dug the lead towards the end.

like some others have mentioned, seems like the drums and bass could be brought up in the mix, but could be the laptop?

and, the singer sounds pretty good to me

all in all pretty cool

this kind of music doesnt really click with me. but if you enjoy it thats awesome. nothing sticks with it, i cant remember the main riff. nothing really catchy in the song. but hope the cd comes out great.

The singer overall did pretty good, it just sounded like he was searching for a few of the notes. I am being really picky here obviously, but I thought that is what you wanted.

I am still looking forward to the CD. IMO singing is probably tougher than playing pretty much any instrument. Maybe its just my singing ability.

Nah... Just wanted to share them. I figured some people on here would enjoy the songs.

I did enjoy it, just providing some feedback.....

just got done listening to the other tracks on your myspace

that some cool shit Chris !!

really nice guitar tones ..

I think may fav was the hard left amp on my way back home .. what amp is that ?? really nasty and juicy at the same time

as far as stuff sticking it's all perspective I suppose ...

I don't go around humming Damage Inc .. It is what it is meant to be " a kick in the ass "

Well it reminds me of all the 80s metal that got diluted and boring.

I listen to:
Classic Rock
Proggressive
Jam Band
Metal
Classical
Jazz
a good mixture of everything interesting, fresh, and memorable.

If you like listening and playing the genre of music your band plays, thats cool.

Its not about a "hook", i never said hook. It is about making music that is memorable, not just cliche "rocker" music.

I listened to yalls myspace and all the songs sounded pretty much the same. Im not a big fan of the music yall are making just cause it seems flat and uninspired. you got to learn to take some criticsm.

but i hope the best and that the cd turns out good.

I finally got to listen to this after seeing it posted this morning. I dig it. Kind of a Pantera, Zack Wylde meets Skynard type of feel with a little 80's rock thrown in.

I dig the guitar tones, can't tell which is which but they both sound down and dirty the way I like it!

I finally got around to listen to the tune.
I liked it, very 80's ish. The two guitars sounded huge. I liked the mix. THe tune was cool too!
I bet it sounds great live.

Listened to all the tunes now:

- Love both solos on "Double Fistin". Great tones and feel on both. Nicely done!
- The guitar tones throughout are stellar. I love the tone on the intro of "Creepy Love Song"
- Overall, I like the songwriting alot.
- Not a big fan of any of the backing vocals to be honest, but kudos to you guys for going for it!
- I like the overal tonal quality of the singer's voice, especially with the music you guys wrote, but he's reaching alot to me. With a bit more time and production, I bet he could sound flawless recorded though...

Thanks for posting these man - I really enjoyed 'em. I've always been more of a fan of music with vocals...

I wish I could go see you guys play this stuff live. Sounds like a fun night to me!

Steve
