I don't think I listened to the other one....

This one definitely sounds smooth and well defined.
Thanks! ...the balance is hanging by a hair for some reason. If I move the mid knob a little bit either way, it sounds out (honky or scooped).
I think it's the speaker....just have to find that sweet spot and leave it.
Every gig with it I've been fighting for the first few songs with the 'mid' control...until I find 'that' spot.
I'm thinking of just gluing the mid knob there....because if it gets knocked or touched I'm like 'oh shit'

Damn that sounds GREAT!!!
Thanks!
I've been using the Peters/blue combo on every gig lately to break the speaker in, and today I just picked up a Lonestar combo, but I have no desire to gig with the Mesa tonight. I'm taking the Peters still.

Please test the lonestar soon! I have been holding off getting one for a while. Let me know what you think of it.

Yes, sounds great. Only as gainy as it needs to be, and nice and stringy sounding.

I'll sit with it a lot this weekend.
So far...
The cleans on this amp are just beautiful, it's like Mark Knopfler dropped off his amp at my house....spring reverb is excellent too.
Dirty channel is voiced very similar to the clean channel and can be muddy with the preamp turned right up, it's a dirty channel that you will use pedals with....which I like, it's very fat and organic sounding. Palm mute players will flinch.

Thanks...there really isn't much gain on the clip, but there was a lot of gain on the amp (between the MXR EQ pedal for a clean boost and the preamp gain near max'd on the amp) ...but I kept the guitar volume knob at around 5...just had that zing to it even with the sound of low gain.

Get James Peters to custom-mount a nice power tranny in there...it'll never die again. :D

Sounds most very excellent!

Mind if I use this as a backing? :)

Listening to your boosted Halo clip, man the freaking amp sounds like it is going to explode.

PLus it was done at a time when you gripped it and ripped it

Thanks! ...and sure.
It's somewhere near Eb tuning though. I just picked up the Wolfgang guitar and hit record...I noticed when I added the bass track that the tuning was around 20 cents above Eb (I think).....soooooooooo have fun trying to match tunings.

It's interesting how it can sound that way even at low volumes...some of the preamp gain sounds and feels like power tube breakup somehow...it's really cool.

Oh I still grip and rip it...I'm currently single.

As can be noted in his avatar, which is, in fact, an actual picture of his penis. It gives a whole new meaning to "choking the chicken."

How would you know that!

Who are you really!?

It's much longer than it appears....my girlfriend is holding it near the end in that pic.

Oddly enough I just gave my computer a cleaning yesterday to avoid the same problem. :) If the heat sinks get covered in dust (and in my case, cat hair) it really messes with things. I also cleaned my keyboard, taking it apart to get all the cat hair out. I just realized I put a couple keys back in the wrong places but didn't notice, since I almost never look at my keyboard when I type. :)

It's because I designed it that way. And unlike previous posts where I'm joking around and being full of myself, I really do mean it. :) Most people don't believe my amps can do this, until they hear them in person.
