Physically painful…this might ruin your day (definitely ruined mine)

The guitar moved in the case with momentum going in the direction of the headstock. Look at the smushed up fabric lining under and at the end of the headstock. It’s like headstock dug in and dragged the fabric causing it to get bunched up like that. Guitars MUST be packed to allow for zero movement.
Even that probably would not have helped....... as that thing was just bodyslammed by someone. They probably get a kick out it......

Seller is a good guy - nothing nefarious going on here. He detuned it before shipping. He packed well (not over the top, but definitely sufficient in my opinion).

The corner of the box is crushed but not severely. I just think this thing took a serious fall
That's a sad sad sight...

That's painful to look at. Hopefully insurance comes through.

Greenie was snapped a couple of times wasn’t it? Maybe this is the beginning of something special? Or it just fucking sucks. I don’t have the answers.

The upside is that it can be fixed.
I work in service.. A lot of times when there is damage on a product delivered, people expect immediate replacement.. The manufacturer will always say it can be fixed. The last thing they want to do is give you a new one..

Damn dude. Hate to see this. Hope it get resolved for you quickly.

I learned this the hard way when I had a Jackson I shipped that broke right at the headstock. Especially with guitars that have angled headstocks, like Gibsons, there can be no movement on the neck or body. It must be bubble wrapped, or whatever, and secured with no movement inside the case at all and the neck complety supported. If the case is looser with no support for the headstock, you're taking a big chance shipping if you don't totally immobilize and support the headstock and body.
