He does those too. Here's a 90's era one. If you really want to see some amazing stuff go look for his Cameo model.

still has a cutaway tho'

The non-cutaway with the mounting I described was a D'Angelico design when players wanted to add pickups to their acoustic jazz boxes, based on Charlie Christian mounting a pickup in the '30s; D'Angelico thought mounting anything on the top would reduce the top's resonance IIRC, so he mounted everything on the sides / neck but the bridge . Eventually he provided cutaway models because of demand. I still like the non-cutaway desing.

I have a ~1937 Harmony Cremona V

Here's 2 I'm really eyeing. The partscaster is local, trying to get more info on the neck specs and the Super Shredder Zircote just looks killer to me and I like a compound radius.

This is one guitar center is advertising to me. I love everything except the knob placement needs to be in line with bridge

That’s an awesome looking guitar! The E-II I have is one of the best playing guitars I’ve ever owned.
For knob placement, I filled the hole with a mini kill switch & drilled a new hole further down for the volume pot.
