Typical small town crap in conjunction with misguided protestants like our friend thumbpicker. They also tried to condemn him when he wouldn't close the church during covid. "You're not standing in solidarity with us". Well, you don't just cancel liturgy and communion, it's not discount grape juice, plus he runs a food shelf so people who are hard up would've had one less place to get food during a very difficult time. Like I said, the people doing the devil's work don't have to burn black candles and stand in pentagrams. Of course, that's pretty serious stuff but just fronting bad theology that dupes untold numbers of christians does just as much or more real world damage. Look how misguided our friends here are. And one of them went to seminary for that nonsense.

There were a number of Protestant churches that rebelled against covid restrictions, John MacArthur's church being one of the bigger one. But I couldn't believe that so many churches actually shut down while liquor stores remained open. I was sure Christians were going to lead the charge against the BS. I was sadly mistaken.

There were a few, but none in the town he opened the mission parish in stayed open, and they were openly mad at him for staying open. Me, and many others, became orthodox catechumens around that time. My bro's baptist church remained open but most churches didn't. I was actually surprised by MacArthur, it's to his credit, but he's another business suit caught up his protestant fantasy world. Another false teacher. He has also tried to condemn orthodoxy, it just fuels people to more eagerly seek it out. Mission parishes are seeing increased attendance while most everywhere else is seeing reduced attendance.
