You guys do know you can buy these Marshalls brand new from the UK for under $2k all the time right?

I paid $1925 shipped for my brand new 1959 HW a few months back.

Was it wired for 230V? Where did you get it?

I posted in another thread what I would do...

I'd launch the JCM 800SE. I'd Dual Masters and would have Gain 1 and Gain 2. Gain 1 would be authentic 800 out of the box, Gain 2 would be the modded high gain sound that basically launched the modding industry i.e. the Friedmans, Ground Zero, Mono etc's... of the world. I'd also add a Resonance knob, built in gate, great loop, midi, the attenuator mode from the YJM and extras like IR's for the modern players.

None of this would be a stretch i.e. the attenuator, the gate (from the KK model which has been copied in pedal format) and resonance from the JVM's. Trick here is the stock 800 tone has to be authentic and built in the UK.

I'd buy something like that in a second.

STOP MAKING SENSE.

US $3,999.00 new here in the US. I have the Neural DSP Mesa IIC+ Suite which sounds great for now, but not the same.
I already had one. The Limited Edition. I kinda let it go too fast... I read that the new ones have Schuhmacher Transformers in them again?
That would be a plus, i think.

Did you notice a difference between them? At the time I was running the jvm and a vh4. I just didn’t dig it and hardly ever played it.
I've owned both and continue to own the stock JVM410H. Some differences -

Reverb is replaced with Noise Gates on the HJS. Granted I don't have issue with the stock model in terms of noise but some players do. However I think the Gates are great as the on board verb is pretty useless for me and in this day and age of high gain amps, gates should be a stock option.

Series / Parellel loop has been replaced by a Series Loop on the HJS. Again, I have no issues with the stock 410 loop but some players do as there is a slight volume drop and apparently that loop doesn't play nice with everything. My loop mix is full up on the 410H. The HJS has an excellent serial loop and I would prefer a serial on the stock model. Still, no issues with me on the stock model just I'd prefer the straight serial.

Crunch Channel has been completely re-voiced on the HJS. I'm not a fan of either frankly. But I can see where the HJS Crunch would lend itself better for boosting. I do prefer the Crunch on the HJS as on the stock it's hard to dial out the boominess...at least to me. And if I'm not mistaken (someone correct me if I am wrong)the Crunch is what Satch uses the most as he uses multiple boosts.

For OD1 and OD2 there's just less overall gain on both channels on the HJS. The stock 410H is just over the top with gain if you want it to be and I love that about it, the Satch model is just tampered down.

HJS has a choke and the clean channel on the HJS is derived from the clean on the 6100 amp if I am not mistaken. I prefer the clean on the stock model.

I was excited to get the HJS as I really loved the Peavey JSX, that amp is a fire breather. Although I liked most of the functional upgrades of the HJS I didn't particular care for the overall tone. Was a slight miss for me. Granted to me it's just hard to beat OD1 Orange on the stock model.

I missed out but if any of you players wanna hook me up with a sv20 lemme know

I'm just gonna wait for the crash, like $690 or something. I'm budgetin'.
Crash? What crash? :ROFLMAO:

This was at The Music Store in Cologne, Germany in 2019. Man, I wanted this one so badly, but it'd have been tough to bring home, even without the power transformer issue.
