I have a PPMV installed in the amp and that clip was recorded at less then TV volume with the mic right up at the grill. Ive always said that a good PPMV sounds like a cranked amp .

I can't do that freaking arpegio he does 1/2 that fast with the MK IV slammed with the blues pro......

The thought of adding a boost in front of a MKIV is just amazing to me. Those things are gain city... I can play stuff on those I wouldn't even attempt on the PM with little effort. Try my PM with no boost. Talk about "Unforgiven"...

I do not boost the IV too often anymore and no I cannot do 1/3 of the things I can do on the MK with a PM, that was the main reason I sold the Sabre. It was a huge fight to play it

That said yes the MK IV is unforgiving big time!

Probably not. The only thing that I might try is a cap swap and the Jose Master volume.
I am one of the guys who prefered Ralles first clips to his 2203 version and Im sticking more towards that direction. I think the Jose master adds more gain and hair and if thats the case, Im calling a day. I was told that a cap swap will work better for the type of pickup Im using.

The Bray or this one? I have to admit that I like the Bray but that may be due to me digging the Lynchy tones that it nails.

The Lynch Tones are in this if you hit it with a pedal and put it through the H30 cab. I was also told by Chris to change a cap value because the amp is tuned in for a JB pickup.

Im gonna be adding that Jose diode master volume to my 2204 Steve, and also il be changing a couple of resistor and cap values for more gain!

Il bet your PM will sound amazing man!!!
