You've owned a bunch of Jose modded Marshalls right? Did any of them have this diode master volume?
I always wanted to try out a Jose modded Marshall, but those things are hard to come by and i heard they can be hit or miss soundwise..

I like the fullness of clip 2...sounds like a great amp Ralph!
I love amps with only a couple of gain stages (like the old Marshalls and the Polaris James made me)...wind it up and give'r, you get rewarded with great definition and feel.

Man I am gassing for one of these MetroAmps for sure! Problem is I am going to have to wait a long time as I am moving in the next couple months and won't have a dime to spend or 10 minutes to play let alone build an amp.
Maybe a mid winter project though!

Sounds great Ralphy. Let me ask, how much of that tone is the Greenbacks? How would this sounds if it were on the MC90's?
Just curious. Personally, i just never ever go for that VH sound because i don't want to sound like VH because I'm afraid if i did pursue that sound i wouldn't be able to shake it. But i do like to listen to other people go for those tones. This does still sound like you from the playing but the tone is different than if you were plugged into a MarkIV.
