we interrupt this regularly scheduled rack discussion to enjoy the raw classic amp & guitar rock tones and the solid playing in these clips!
clips or it didn’t happen@mentoneman : didn't know Landau used some Soldano gear... Interesting !!
Indeed racks still rule ! As promised, some new toyz pic. Just got the Brunetti Mille and Mesa Midi Matrix in the mail a few days ago. My own self-indulged christmas LOL. I've had the Abacus for more than 25 years so the Midi Matrix was on my list. I just needed a good deal nearby (not easy or very common where I live). I tested the parallel preamp loop function of the Mesa Matrix and it's working pretty well. I had the Brunetti Mille, Alembic F-1X, VHD SNK and Shift Line Twin in the four matrix preamp loops for comparaison purposes. No ground loop, no tonal degradation, pretty much straightforward, which I always like. The clean channel of the Mille is nothing to sneeze at compared to the Alembic or the Shift Line. Even more surprising is I found I prefer the Shift Line fenderish tone to the the Alembic despite being much smaller and a fifth of the price.

clips or it didn’t happen
It did happen. Here one minute of phone recorded noodling for your ultimate aural pleasure LOL
Signal path is BC Rich Eagle with active electronics engaged -> Brunetti Mille -> 2203 power section -> 4x12 with G12-65 -> Google Pixel 4A internal mic. MXR stereo chorus at the end of the clip.
man i remember these showing up used here and there for $300 back in the day…I like gain LOL
It was Brunetti Mille's crunch channel. The lead channel has much more !
I remember them for $250. That is also around the time I got a Peavey Rockmaster for $80.man i remember these showing up used here and there for $300 back in the day…

Yeah, there was always a tiny bit of nagging tone suck on the input of the G-System that bugged me. Other than that it was a fantastic unit and you can get one for a steal now!^^^^
I used a g system in very similar manner with a og iic+. Loved it.I had high hopes tc or even eventide would put out a revamped updated g system. Still hoping.....
I heard about the buffered input but right around the same time I got the Kemper, which works perfectly in 4 Cable Method if you want to use an amp. But really, not many people use it that way.^^^^
I really liked it.and I had full blown bradshaw systems too.It was just an easy self contained unit to use.I had the black updated input buffer one.No tone suck at all.Just not enough loops, outs, updates, etc. Then the boss es 8,rjm,etc hit and the g was gone.If they can put put a new 2290p,or eventide with thier h90,these companies " could " design a new " g system " type board and give the fractals, kempers, etc a nice alternative. But so far nothing.
