Recommend me a USA head, 2 or more channels, FX Loop..

I've got a '78 JMP 2203 and a mid 90's UK Vox AC30. I boost the Marshall with a silver Klon and the AC30 gets and old Boss OD-1 and an old Rat pedal - I'm good for the British sound.
I'm after a high gain channel switching head, something different than a British sound. I'm thinking something from the Mesa camp.
I had a Mark III and could EQ it ok between the channels.
I need a great Fender-y clean channel, and a great drive channel.

I've got a Rev. F Dual Rec nearby I can check out.
I'm also thinking about spending a bit more and getting hold of a Mark V.

The band plays heavy alternative rock in the style of Chevelle, Deftones, Quicksand etc...

Anything else I should be checking out?

Mesa JP 2C or a VHT/Fryette Pittbull. There are a few variations of the Pittbull, recent thread about it here on R/T. Both have good clean channels, loops and nice lead/rhythym tones.

All depends on cost, what you want to spend. Used SLO around 2500, new JP 2C same. The rest mentioned fall under 1500 used usually. If cost is no concern I'd grab the SLO. The loop isn't the best though, at least with pedals. But it sounds so good I just used it without delay. You could have someone mod the loop to be more pedal friendly.
 
I'd kill for a SLO.
But the cost of them here is truly hideous, there's a 90's one going for $7000, with the original 4x12 and 2x12 cab.
Another one for $6000 with original 2x12.

A MK IV is my next choice. How I would love a MK IV.
 
One of the newer Riveras, maybe; the Knucklehead Reverb or the K-Tre.
 
Brian had to go post the snakeskin SLO with the scoop mod and the purple jewel light...GAS!!!!!

That would kill me price wise here. $4500 for the head alone after shipping etc...
