Reissue Recto - Found a clip

Yeah that price is well beyond a hard no. Honestly, even used they will be too much. I knew it after seeing the price for IIC+. Bummer, because this will make people try for even higher prices of OG 2 channels, which are stupid as is.
You can get a real F for less than what they want for the F RI. Vs the C+ Ri, which is far less than any model GEQ C+.
Definitely a bad call on the price.

Yeah at that price you are basically at the price of original chrome chassis rev f- it really doesnt make sense- they shouldve gone for a rev c if they were doing a reissue of something that is hard to find

Yep. I'd pay $3,500 for a Rev C reissue, but for something that's in-between an F and a G, that's a hard pass.

Looks like it's already starting:

Not with the mark III transformers… I’ve probably bought more that were available the past 2 years than anyone on this forum lol…
I've had 2 F Triples, and I'm as big a tone snob as anyone lol and I didn't hear much difference between the earlier F, and the serial 2992 almost G Rev F...I assume the later one had Recto specific transformers.

Seems to me in the last year or so, 2 channel Rectos have become pretty hard to find (where they used to be a dime a dozen). So, if these are in that F/G pocket I bet they'll sell.

The MW were very close to a F, just a touch more processed. I can see going back to a 2 channel design cleaning this up.

I can’t help but feel regret at selling the triple, chrome F, I got for 1K back in 2011 or so. I literally sold it to GC soon after, for what I paid for it and at the time was quite pleased I was out of it, with no fuss and without a loss. I just have to remind myself that no matter how I feel about it now, at the time the amp was not making me feel it was a keeper. 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t be surprised if a few people are holding on to a lot of G’s thinking it’s an investment. It makes no sense as they made so many.

If they got the orange channel right on the reissue it’s a win. That’s the big difference. They nailed the red channel on the multi watt. I could not pick it out from a rev f. Orange channel big difference in the mid content though.

The chrome face ones always fetch crazy crazy prices. But people still over price the shit out of them. The Ds, Cs, and Es for 8 grand plus are laughable. 5k sure whatever. But people are nuts.

Reminds me of those collecting block letter 5150s hoping the same thing would happen (it hasn’t). There’s just so many options out there now - the 1992 reissue included.

Looking awesome !! But how would one still like the mesa dual rect rev G coming off from a VHT and Wizard camp?

I’ve only had one triple… but nearly every Rev F I had all sounded different. The 420 coke bottle tubes are killer and the earlier Fs especially the duals sound amazing.
