My stiletto, with factory bias, went down to 13mA on tube rec/spongy on drive settings and up to low 30’s on bold/doiode clean settings. It actually sounded fine on all settings but I got an adjustable bias mod done to it several years ago. Mostly out of boredom. Gotta say I haven’t even touched it or read the draw since because …..it sounds fine

Yep, Mesas are the only amps I've played with super low bias that actually still sound good. A Marshall? No chance. Terrible sound with bias that low.

It surprised the heck out of me. But no hint of crossover distortion or any negative artifacts on the perceived tone other than what you would expect with a tube rectified and/or slightly variac’d amp.

If it's true that the Spongy / Bold switch has been moved to the front... damn that's a bummer.

Edit: Alright I found some pics. It's not that the power or standby switch has been moved to the back, it's that the Power switch has been changed from a standard 2-position "On/Off" switch to a 3-postition "Bold/Off/Spongy" switch, with the Bold setting at the top position. That's fine. Everybody I know who plays Rectos uses the Bold setting anyway, so it won't look dumb when it's on.
