As mentioned in that other thread about mix knobs, Chorus is one of those pedals that benefits greatly from a mix knob. If you keep the mix and rate low, and depth high, it can really do some great 3D, widening effects that dont automatically sound like 1987.I give away too much gear. I never used chorus at all and my friend got way into it, so I said fuck it...here ya go. Chorus is one of those pedals I just never bonded with. It always sounded cheesy to me. The closest I came to liking it was in the POD Farm software and I would use it with everything almost on 50% and rate super low...it created a quasi 3d image with heavy tones. But now listening back with a more educated tone ear, I can see how I could impliment it tastefully now.
I had one of those Fender Princeton SS amps that came out 25 years ago or so, well thats when I had it...I give away too much gear. Yeah that was on the Analoman chorus I had, but that is based on EHX chorus and I like a bit better the BOSS flavor. As mentioned in that other thread about mix knobs, Chorus is one of those pedals that benefits greatly from a mix knob. I play a little SS frontman all the time, I love that little amp. I want to get a upgraded 8 inch speaker for it, it deserves it.I had one of those Fender Princeton SS amps that came out 25 years ago or so, well thats when I had it...
It had a pot that went thru reverb, to delay, to chorus etc
Actually thought the chorus sounded good in that lol
It is very easy to add a mix knob to a CE-2. I have a CE-2 clone I built that has a mix knob. I dont know if I would mod a vintage one though. Buy a cheap Mooer Ensemble King instead, lol.Yeah that was on the Analoman chorus I had, but that is based on EHX chorus and I like a bit better the BOSS flavor.
Wonder if Analogman could add a blend knob?

I would second this. It's quite an incredible pedal with uncharted sounds inside but I would say it's pretty techy getting to know the layout by heart. One of a few pedals I own though.Meris Mercury 7 is killer.

True, but fooling with the alt stuff is a pain in the ass. As soon as I got it I wished it was a big box with knobs for every parameter instead of using one knob for two functions and try to keep track of things working on the fly that way. It kinda sucks some of the joy of exploring the unit. I think it is the superior shimmer pedal of all time save for maybe the spectral tempus but it's right up there. The tones seem endless inside that thing from basic reverb to mega reverb to the swell setting to satan's lair sounding stuff to a chorus of angels. It's sweet...Eh, no menu diving or screens. It sure has a shit ton of tones and options though.
I’m the same way. I had a chorus factory and a dd6 and gave them to mailman…I give stuff to local kids or send stuff as gifts. Guitars, pedals…whatever..usually when I decide to quit playing…lolI give away too much gear. I never used chorus at all and my friend got way into it, so I said fuck it...here ya go. Thats a feature Id like to stay away from, screens.Eh, no menu diving or screens. It sure has a shit ton of tones and options though.
You know Karl Malone?and gave them to mailman
I know!Hard to go passed Boss. They always sound good and are simple, sturdy and affordable.
I bet its great!![]()
This is the one.
Three switchable reverbs types: spring (60s), hall (70s), big ambient plate (80s).
Three knobs on the reverb side.
It almost doesn't get any simpler, but it's one of the best sounding reverb pedals you can buy.
It also has MIDI presets if you want but you never have to touch that if you don't feel like it.
Yeah it's digital but it has 100% analog dry through so your core tone isn't impacted or converted at all.
