For whatever reason, whether it is the way I have it dialed in or my lack or "down tuning expererience" (3 weeks and counting

If you're going to sell the MarkIV let me know. I have a MarkIV long head and i want a short head, maybe we can get a third party involved for some sort of 3 way deal. But is that IV in 100% working order and is it in great shape? Looks decent from the pics.

Here's a description that Rufus Leaking (I bought the amp from him) gave me...
"This is a late 70's JMP modded by Mark Cameron with his 'high gain Jose' mod. I've owned 5 of Mark's mods over the years but have held on to this head the longest. It is one of the finest examples of his work I've had the pleasure of owning.
The amp has a loop, a pull on the MV for browning up the sound and dual preamp gain knobs for blending bright and crunchy or thick and dark flavors of gain. It also has a bright switch on the front panel, a gain / voicing switch on the back panel, and bass boost frequency and resonance knobs.
Cosmetically, the amp is a little rough. There are a few tolex scrapes and tears, it is missing one of the plastic corners, and has an extra hole in the front panel. Functionally though it is 100% perfect."

Which i dont wana do!Im starting to wonder whether a HG Jose would be better for me than the Aldrich ya know.. Been thinkin about that for a while!

Im starting to wonder whether a HG Jose would be better for me than the Aldrich ya know.. Been thinkin about that for a while!
If we were in the same country I would be all about swapping amps just so we could each test out both of them.

I have no idea if yours is worth more or less than mine? If you can do a straight up trade then I'd be willing to do that. If I have to throw in some cash, I probably won't be able to though.

Mark, i also think you may like the Aldrich better.. its the more modern sounding mod compared to the Jose, and its more aggressive sounding IMO! Thats just going by the clips i have heard of the Jose compared to my Aldrich.
