Technically, the SLP's go for more than the JMP's, but I really don't care about that. A Cameron is a Cameron. But I REALLY like this amp and can't make a decision tonight if I would want to do it or not. But if you can give me a couple days........

Yes, you're right, The biggest difference is in the mids. The Jose's have much smoother mids and are not as aggressive. The Jose I have has just as much gain as my Aldrich, but the Aldrich sounds meaner. The Aldrich is also a little tighter when the gain is really cranked up. I prefere the Jose's for leads though for the reasons stated above.

I think the problem is in the cab, if you're using that 2x12 recto cab with those amps. I had that cab when I had my Mark IV and hated it

Really? Well I absolutely love V30's, so there's no chance of me replacing those with anything else. I think the cab sounds great. :thumbsup:

Only with th Mark IV. I can't speak for the others. I a/b the Mark IV with my Mesa, an old Marshall 4x12 with an G12H-30/V30 X pattern (which sounded the best), Avatar v30 2x12, and a 2x12 G Flex. I bought the G Flex just for the Mark IV but I did'nt like it with other amps.

I'm currently using a Splawn Quickrod with a Splawn OS 2x12...I absolutely love my Splawn 2x12 :yes:

great point....my Jose has to be opened up a bit more then my Aldrich
 
I normally play mine with the volume around 2-3 on my Aldrich. It sounds great when you open it up and let it rip!

I turned it up for a while. Mostly at moderate volume, the same as I play all my amps more or less.
