That what you guys tells yourselves so you don't feel bad for not practicing šŸ¤£
I like the way your soloing has come along, but you have heard the typical rock guy. He plays the c cowboy chord with a few more simple barely distorted chords (a, g, d?) then you have this long sustained note probably bent 1/4, then the walk up the scale with a few accidentals. It is just endlessly the same boring sound

That's fine to not want to hear boring nuno and evh solos, but i play neither, and drop K death metal is just as cliche and exhausting to listen to as PLX playing the same pentatonics over and over again

Could use a bit more work, but just between you and me...

I really like the atmosphere in the middle part lisa, it's got a serious vibe

If the "k" in the "drop k" is a nondescript variable, then that is something different. But if it is a variable for sub d tuning, then i am kind of there with you. I think doing some of the fast riffs in Eb and drop D is pretty cool.

If you are just hating on death metal in general, then you wash your mouth out with soap.

I like your musical style, but with that right hand, i sometimes want to drop your IQ a bit and make some death metal riffs for me to listen to, especially since you keep in the same tunings as me

I like low tuned death metal. I just prefer to do it on 7 strings/multiscales, and I don't have one atm

This is so strange..so is it the intonation that bothers you?

It always sounds out of tune to me. Even my own shit sounds a hair out of tune to me sometimes, but 6 strings tuned past c or so just sound completely sour to my ear

Aha. That is crazy. I thought it was more snobbish.

The low tunings dont really work in person with me. They sound bad and kind of hurt my ear akin to digital distortion (spiking the track in reaper)

That is why i sold my seven string

I play 7's all the time! I don't tune low either. My 7's are in B flat or A standard that's it. Just takes some time to adjust amp settings compared to a six. Usually what you have dialed in for a six string needs to be adjusted for a 7 but not by much, just a little less gain.

That 100% could have been my problem. Plus the amp(s) i was running at the time was not optimal for that tuning

Yeah i've never really encountered that issue dialing in 7s for amps, it's generally just a bit less gain and the EQ worked around a bit

7s and 8s do generally have more modern sounding pickups too

Chug so hard and break a .56...the storm is coming...
