Running out of rabbit holes

I mean fuck.. Isn't every possible topic leading to at least 15 pages pretty much beaten to death such as: Cameron, José mods, Eddie's plexi & speakers, Dinesh and Mesa's terrible IIC+ launch?

Please someone come up with something that we can discuss to death again or are we running out of rabbit holes?

We have to venture to OffTopic for that..
Great. An Off-Topic-Soy-Boobs-Thread.

I know what you mean.
I think part of it is that the fire is going out..
There's always Off Topic to rant about the world..

Speaking of ADA, I also had a full ADA guitar rig with four 2x12 Vertical SplitStacks. I used MP-1 + MQ-1, Alesis QuadraVerb, and replaced the MP-1 + MQ-1 with a MP-2 which I still have around here somewhere.

Here is my consolidated ADA rack before I sold it all except the MP-2. I also had backups for the MP-1 and MP-2 which I sold long ago...note the ADA MIDI controller on top of the rack...

So we're talking about dance music now?
I used a full ADA bass rig back in the day:

I still have my old Trace Elliot MP-11 MIDI preamp and dual compressor pedal. These days I'm using my Trace Elliot Transit-B for bass:

That's actually pretty cool. Does ADA actually have some bass presets or did you come up with your own settings for bass?
Unless it’s talking about And Justice For All and it’s lack of a bass tone. Ooh, I wonder where that thread could possibly turn….🥳
Damn the moderators would be overworked..

Bass players are obsolete. And if you can program drum machines, so are drummers. IMO. :D

You can get good bass tones from bass machines (and organ bass pedals; I have two digital Hammond organs, a Crumar Hammond clone, and a digital pipe organ, and they all have bass pedals; Hammonds have 25-note, the pipe organ has 30, but should have 32-note)

The ADA preamps all had factory presets, as did the MQ-1 (graphic equalizer). It was a pain in the ass to create your own presets from scratch, very tedious...what I did was find factory presets I liked, copy them to blank slots and tweak them from there. The MP-2 was even more tedious, it added a post-eq section to each preset, I think it was a 5-band eq.

I can't afford to use anything but freeware for bass, as I have retired playing the downsy guitar in public.

I used to play in bands though, and I didn't even buy my own gear because who cares you're the bass player lol
