The Russians have unlimited cannon fodder - stupid peasants that they are. That's why. Same as every war they fight in. They can be completely hopeless but win by sheer numbers.

6th fleet 2 carrier groups
Had to be atleast 20 war ships plus 8 auxiliaries

Ukraine is down over 500k men. Seems like that strategy is not working.

The claims of what both sides of lost vary significantly depending on who you ask. Very hard to believe any site on this either way.

I do know they are conscripting anyone and everyone, including over 40 yr/olds and apparently even downs syndrome, not issuing visas, etc.

I really have no idea. I'll have to ask him next time I see him.

I know he played a lot of guitar and smoked weed in the torpedo bays.

torpedo bay would be a sub. I have no idea. i never really saw one
as far as smoking weed i seriously doubt it. I think he elaborated a bit especially on a sub.
there not place to hid it even if you blew it into the exhaust vents

we had random piss tests every few weeks. I knew guys that indulged but it was just a bowl here and there and nothing on a regular basis.

Id say a good 90% got pinched at one time or another

First write up wasn't bad usually 15 or 30 days restriction some extra duty
. Habitual offenders lost stripes and did brig time. I knew a guy who went from E5 to E3. then finally made E4 again and got busted down to E2

I never messed around with it while on active duty. I respected the uniform to much

It wasn’t a sub. And I’m probably not using correct terminology. Maybe magazine is the right word.

No never did.
But the vents in the battery lockers was where it was at.

Had a room about the size of a decent closet with steel doors and massive ventilation

Inside were about 40 truck sized batteries for auxiliary power to the gyroscopes in case the generators went out.

Funny thing is when we tested them every 6 monthe they never held the load and failed.

Useless equipment. All they needed was a diesel powered generator, relay and inverter for DC
 
There's probably less than 10k dead on both sides. Neither country is acting like it's a life or death situation or even actually REALLY serious about it. You see people going to bars, biking, hiking, going to work like normal in the vast majority of both Ukraine and Russia.

In mother Russia you don't go to bars or biking. Bars or Biking go to you.
