Slave out from VH4?

Hi.

Im putting togeter a wet/dry/wet rig with my VH4.
I will have my VH4 hooked up to a 4x12 for the center dry sound.
I want a balanced slave signal that will go to a TC 1210 and an Eventide Eclipse and then into power amp and stereo cabs.

Which is the best way to do this? I have been looking at a THD hotplate and a Suhr Iso line out box.

I know Peter has recommended not using attenuators, but I haven't understood why really. Will it be harmful to put the THD or the Suhr between my VH4 and the 4x12 ??

Just use the master volume of the VH4 instead of trying to tame it down with a hotplate. Peter said it many times. and the VH4 sounds good at low volumes actually, unlike an old marshall...

The only attenuator I would try is the Faustine Fantom at $1000, you can ask shark diver.

I don't wanna tame anything, I want a line out

Edit: I want a post master volume line out, so that when I change volume on my amp I want my wet left/right to change as well so I don't have to balance it everytime I change volume...

The Suhr Iso line out works great in this application (no hot plate required).

Why not simply use the parallel loop send as an existing line out?

The parallel send is post channel volume, but pre master volume. More, it is just preamp out, you don't get the full tone, that is shaped in the power section with the depth and presence.

I used a Behringer Ultra-G https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_gi100_ultra-g.htm Works great and I don't believe you can get any cheaper than that. It also works as a DI, converting your signal to balanced. The cab simulation can be bypassed, and you can also apply two 20db pads, to match levels with your other equipment.

I don't know how much of the original tone you'd actually preserve running the speaker out through such things as a hot plate or the suhr box mentioned at the beginning of this thread. If you use a high end stereo power amp (coming from the fx unit fed with the output of the main amp's send) to run the satellites in a wet/dry/wet rig it should sound awesome. If you'd still think you'd compromise in tone this way, my question would be how much this would matter in a live or studio situation. How well can you possibly reproduce the sound you had so much hassle with creating, on tape or a PA? No clue... :scared:

Yeah, just the price is insane.

One big reason is like dass101 said, the effects send doesn't follow the master volume.
If I adjust the master volume on my dry amp, I want the wet volume to change as well.

Yeah it's a lot for "just" a little transformer...

Any tech can install you a line out in your amp with a pot, one resistor and a jack.

Thanks, but I don't wanna drill in my precious Diezel...
+ I found a used Bradshaw line box for ~100 Euros I will probably buy.
