Blowing off steam after work, AC/DC style with an ES-335
I'd be wanting to play the 335 all day, so plugged in first thing when I got home. And then it was time to crash. They do such a great job of cutting and standing out sonically. Seems like a ton of fun! When I get home from work I walk the dogs and I’m usually too beat to jam out.
We did that the other day! With ear plugs in. You could feel it. The amp opened up like every one says. I don't think I'll ever run it that high, even into a reactive load. It sounds pretty decent at 1 on the dial.Once you hit 11-12 o clock on the master they REALLY come alive. Never played the BAD version. I’ve got a 2003 with a Suhr modded loop. Great amps.
Yep, like a Wizard or good vintage Marshall they sound better louder but sound damn good at 1-2 on the master, as well.I'd be wanting to play the 335 all day, so plugged in first thing when I got home. And then it was time to crash.

Yes! I find the 4104 and SLO begin to sound good at about the same volume level, when they become less congested and start to have more presence. I think that about most good amps I've had.Yep, like a Wizard or good vintage Marshall they sound better louder but sound damn good at 1-2 on the master, as well.
Pretty sure that’s the newer one as it has three toggle switches on the front rather than two.Just curious is that a newer version or older?
Newer, BAD version. With Classictone transformers and 5881s. I'm not sure that they're using those trannies and tubes anymore.Just curious is that a newer version or older?

The MOAB (and some Friedman amps) is superb down to whisper volumes. Best master volume on an amp I've ever had.
GAS is a killer. I'd love to keep it at bay this year. That almost sounds like a resolution...more like an unrealistic goal.Sounds awesome. Such a killer amp. Not sure why I sold mine in a fit of GAS. I should rectify that some day. lol
