This Epi is legit; not that I have tried the actual Gibson Custom this is based on for comparison.
Pickups are hot, and clear, easy to play; setup and intonation were fine out of the box, fit and finish is great, the real mother of pearl, ebony fretboard and gold on the white finish looks classic old school vintage (like a Gretsch White Falcon). Finish is like an aged gloss; not satin, not matte, not gloss, but somewhere in between; not quite a semi-gloss either; definitely different, I like it so far...see how it holds up with use.
Very good for the price, one small black mark on the back of the headstock, looks like a pencil mark under the top coat is all I found.
still has the plastic on the pickguard and pickups
