I have it sometimes at 64th notes/54 beats per minute... my goal is 60 bpm. Sorry about the fingering pattern at the bottom of the tab not matching up. I have it in powertab (now attached) with the picking pattern I use if ya want to have a chuckle yourself:

Duration Legend
---------------
Q - quarter; X - 64th;
Uncapitalized letters represent notes that are staccato (1/2 duration)
Irregular groupings are notated above the duration line
Duration letters will always appear directly above the note/fret number it represents the
duration for. Duration letters with no fret number below them represent rests. Multi-
bar rests are notated in the form Wxn, where n is the number of bars to rest for. Low
melody durations appear below the staff
Tempo markers - <E/E./Q/Q./H/H.> = BPM(8/16=s8/s16), where s8 = swing 8ths, s16 = swing 16ths

Yngwie/Alcatrazz "bigfoot" excerpt, a D major arp study covering all modes w/ added 9th's/7ths, and a little Bach excerpt. I went nuts on this tool for about 6 months at one point to document all my transcriptions, mostly classical excerpts. great tool!
enjoy!

This might not be the EXACT key signature, but the intervals should be correct. The way Satch plays this - he uses his right hand to reach up and grab the top of the neck with his palm over the strings right at the nut in order to mute the strings, and taps each of the notes with his left hand.
I actually like to use this lick to warm up my fretting hand by moving it all up and down the neck. It sounds completely twisted that way.

Thanks Anthony... downloaded! Earthquake is not at the song's tempo right (slower) or is it?

Seems to work well enough for Brett Garsed.Jakem":48794 said:Robotechnology":48794 said:Ed, do you actually do those lines in the last measure using 4 finger technique (no sliding or tapping)? If so WHOA MAMA... that'll be tough to do accurately at a nice tempo.
None of my friends do 4 notes per string runs (picked and legato) using 4 fingers. They say that I'm a freak because I do it. Yes, it's hard to get good timing in the beginning but you get comfortable with them at some point.
psychodave":e407e said:You tap some of that with more than one finger? I was tinkering around with it and only used one right finger on the last section. On all of the other parts I just used my left hand.
Alternatively tap the last note or slide from the first into the second.Robotechnology":66d2b said:psychodave":66d2b said:You tap some of that with more than one finger? If you're talking about Ed's example... there is no tapping
I have decent four finger technique but, I've never tried 1&1/2 step and/or 2 step intervals in BETWEEN 2 of the four fingers! Going to try it tomorrow, wish me luck

Just tried it a bit... 2nd string is simple, 1st is doable, & 3rd/4th strings are impossible without practice. You suck
