You probably still got some great amps
I know it
For sure. The Multiwatt Triple I sold I loved. The 50th Anniversary I bought after I fought with. Then realized the power tubes were too cold stock. There may have been some circuit difference from 2010 to 2019 but hotter tubes really helped.

Danm it. I tell myself this all the time.

Last time I sold an amp I ended up buying a similar model for more than I sold the last one for.

Wasn't apples for apples but it still didnt feel right.

That's being a gear whore in a nutshell honestly.

The SLO is amazing, and quite dependent on how you run the loop and what speakers you are running it through.

Since it has (the OG version) an insert loop like a Dumble it responds like a Dumble to padding it down in the loop with buffers.

If you do that, you get this VERY rewarding player-controllable touch-sensitive squish that really rewards the pro player.

It will mesh with V30s for grind, but my fave was a slot-back THD cab with a G12-65 and an Andy Marshall-treated CL80. Bloom city.

The SLO is pretty good. The crunch channel is a bit sterile until you get the volume up. And when I mean up, like 5 or higher. If course at that level its pretty loud. As RDodson just mentioned, the overdrive has a tubby low end. You also have to keep the gain low or it will be super compressed. The overall amp is scooped sounding in the mids so Vintage 30s do work well. Overall it's a great amp but needs to be loud to get the most out of it.

The 30 didn't do it for me. Too compressed and squishy.

The Soldano SLO is like starting a Lamborghini and also built like one. I’ve played many so called boutique amps there’s nothing like the SLO(just my opinion and experience),I tend not believe a lot of negative stuff that’s on amp forums about SLO(just my opinion again).
