Vox is latin for 'voice' :) I think it's a good name.
Ever heard a really pretentious person who sings say they 'Do lead vox'?

Me only understands american language and am learning pigeon.

You need to take into consideration it`s more funny is you pronounce it wrong :D
It`s a Dutch "ch". And it sounds like "Loch" (Loch Ness)

And IF someone pronounces the Scottish lake "lock ness", I`m all out of arguments

I agree on all except Marsha. I mean, you just can't beat marsha's hairy brown eye!

would you say the same if it was named Greg, Peter or Bobby?
  Good call man! It would be a little uncomfortable saying that...now if it was barzini's fuzzy weenie! :inlove:

Also, Valvetronix, Bugera sound cheap. Mesa/boogie is cool but kinda silly if you think about it.."yeah, I really boogie down with my boogie"
and one of the worst IMO is the Axe-fx. I mean that's just a dumb name for a piece of gear. I suppose all the good ones are taken by now.

Dr. Z - always makes me think they sell a 'cure all' tonic, not amps...reminds me of the 3 stooges selling "BrightO, makes old bodies new." Also sounds like some dime-a-dozen masked wrestler, lol.

Goodsell - sounds too "Dollar General/Family Dollar" store to me.

I hate the name Diezel. Peter gets a pass because A) He's fucking rad and B) it's his name.
However, context aside, I think that "Diezel" sounds like a new cheesy high-gain Boss pedal that's impossible to un-scoop...
Like a Metal Zone with all of the worst aspects cranked to the max.

Also - Fryette. I will, until the end of time, refer to my UltraLead as "Old VHT".

I think the Rivera name and logo is about as good as it gets for simple, elegant, strong, loud, cool, etc.

Splawn - reminds me of flawn
Bogner - reminds me of Booger
Diezel Einstein and Herbert - cool amps, but the model names make them sound nerdy.

I am sure I will think of more. All the ones I listed above make nice amps, but I can nitpick the name :D

Line 6 - Because Lines 1 through 5 failed?
Bugera - What, can't find a Kleenexa?
Komet - It does cleans, it does dirties, it cleans dirt off of bathtubs...

Yeah, Rivera's a good one. So is Mesa without the boogie moniker. Boogie just sounds silly, like boogie nights disco style. I also like the look/sound of the Marshall, Bogner, VHT logos. Soldano is the BEST name/logo IMO.

yeah that's one name change that was total ego. VHT sounded cool, Fryette sounds like the female version of something you would order at McDonalds.

How bout Wizard's name and logo? Great amps but the name and logo looks like a burnt out metal band from the 80's on their 18th reunion world bar tour.

So you've read the guitar player Oct. 94 100 watt head shootout issue too ;)
