Steavens Poundcake 50w info

Has anyone here tried a thunderstruck model? And if so, how does it compare to the poundcakes?
 
Does anyone know the origin of the Poundcake name? Every time I see it I either think of the VH song or a yellow loaf of cake. It’s kind of weird, actually.

Honestly, the value piece has been one of the items that has kept me slightly away. Most public transactions I have seen for any iteration have been in the $1600-$2200 vein. Couple of historic reverb sales for MKIs at $1800-2000 that you can dig up pretty easily. That being said, these numbers mostly seem to be prior to the world going crazy and all used items gaining substantial value…
If you end up passing on it I would be interested!

Always just assumed it was a Van Halen thing, I think the amp came out in 1992 and FUCK came out summer of ´91 with Poundcake as the lead single. Really weird coincidence otherwise.

definitely the song- there's another steavens amp called the thunderstruck which is named after the acdc one

, i live in The Netherlands, and i'm trying to find someone to help me out here with my Steavens Poundcake amp. it's my favourite amp to play for some years already, and now the midi is blown or somewthing ... together with Paul Lenders we tried to connect it with a midi pedal to make a setup, and now the amp stopped working ... don't know if you still got contact with Bernd Stephan ... i can't reach him any more. or maybe somebody can send me the softwareof this amp, or from the Poundcake with midi ... , or help me out in another way so i can make this great amp work again .. i have a pundcake 50W a 100 W and this Thunderstruck ..... and i like the Thunderstruck the most ... it needs to go on tour with me ...
