So he removed the handle and jacked up the price? LOL
This sucks.
This kind of crime sits right behind child abuse and ahead of murder.
Baiting the guy to do the same thing is one way to handle it.
How about a hunting accident in the middle of nowhere?
Don't let him see this thread. Peeps like this will be searching on their name and aliases constantly.
Do you have pics of the scratches or whatever and other details?

That sucks Martin. I will never ship anything valuable without a signature required. If my buyer cant be there I tell them to reroute it to a store location and allow that option when I ship Without a signature a buyer can say they never got it like yours.. Then it's on you to prove it was not stolen from the delivery location. No signature required there is no insurance in these cases.

I messaged him and asked the serial number cause I read there were a few amps out there that were stolen.
His response was :"

I do have it but I will not give it out for the same reason you want it.
I’ve owned the amp for 10 years "

Uumm....... now I have to show him the receipt thats posted here.

Just sent him this.....

I want the serial to check against stolen amps... I have a receipt here from you that you purchased this in 2019? April...

Is this that amp?? You are Nate Weddington? Just trying to sort this out cause I dont want to buy a stolen amp.

Thanks again.

Lets see what he says.

appreciate the backup from you all.... I don't know why I just didn't sell it on this forum and just kept it in this circle. I remember selling on harmony central by postal money order lol never had an issue amazing

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this amp.. I sold it to this seller in April 2019, I didn't request signature confirmation with my fedex tracking. When the item was delivered "to the customer" per fedex tracking I thought everything was good. He waited 5 days and told ebay the amp was never delivered. Ebay, despite the fedex tracking evidence, sided with him due to no signature confirmation. So they charged back my paypal account $1650. He now has my amp and the money.

HIs name is Nathan Weddington and he lives in Flemington Ky.

the amp has distinctive markings around the faceplate and backplate. He took off the handle. Here is a link to the ebay listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Marshall-Slash-Amp-Head-100-watt/154365072746?_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20160908105057&meid=692142d64ae4489b9990fdcb65bed15d&pid=100675&rk=1&rkt=15&mehot=none&sd=154365072746&itm=154365072746&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=2380057&brand=Marshall&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci:c9192ef0-8111-11eb-8b1b-06faeacc86f2|parentrq:18918cd81780ab8cd7d2a0fbfff1480a|iid:1

You should put that info in the Classifieds - Scam Alert thread too.

Let's hope this actually goes somewhere. 3 times I've been 'attempted' scam; beat the first one but the other two I had to shut down my eBay then my Reverb accounts to avoid being taken.

Sorry for your troubles Martin...for every 100 cool transactions there always seem to be one scam attempt.

Man that's brutal and frustrating. What was eBay's reasoning on why they sided with the guy in the first place? Simply a signature on delivery was the deciding factor, not that FedEx showed it was a 45lb box?
