Jeff, while I too would love to see more modules from Egnater, I don't care for you guys to go and "monkey" someone else's amp. I'd rather the rest of the modules that come out of your shop be Egnater through and through. I'd like to imagine that one day, you'd have the chance to sit in your shop with Bruce and just try different things until you find something special.
I used to be one of the guys who wanted a "Mesa Mark" module but you know what? I own 4 modules. I can hold them in my hand. And I can see how small they are. And the idea that you could get enough of a Mark's (or a Bogner, or a Diezel, etc., etc.) circuit in there, WHILE you're sticking to using only 2 or 3 basic board designs, isn't realistic. I understand this. It's not a modeller after all.
That said: What would REALLY be cool is if you continued along the lines of what you did with Ty. Get a pro to come in and lend his ears to designing a module within the Egnater framework. You get a player and say: "Here's the foundation and these are the variable parts. We can alter this, this and this, but not this. This and this, but not this. Now let's start playing with values and you tell us what you like the best". I think you'll get something truly unique this way. Everything will be Egnater underneath with someone else's influence on the finish.
I know it's easier said than done. But man, I can only imagine what you might come up with if you had a Holdsworth, Eric Johnson or even someone like Rusty Cooley. Car company's do this to. Chevy put out a Reggie Jackson Camaro in 2006 that he helped design.
You'd be the only kid on the block with that toy.
