Suhr and Anderson headstock similarities....

Correct me if I'm wrong :

I've been a fan of TA guitars since the mid 90s and still have the old catalogs where they describe in detail the woods used, chambering, effect of body shape upon tone, drop top concept, etc. Then when Suhr launched his own company the descriptions on his website on the same topics were almost identical.

Sure they're friends with a history, but Suhr seems to be copying Anderson pretty closely and not the other way around.

Again, I could be wrong...

Additionally, I seem to recall that Suhr's early builds (Pensa-Suhr, Peter Frampton custom Strat and Tele) were made with Schecter/Tom Anderson parts.

I would have massive neck pains while looking at my headstock when playing so I developed this,

Now while looking at my matching 1/2 stack I can also enjoy the beauty that is my headstock.

I am ordering a suhr with a reverse headstock-- looks dated but not nearly as dumb...

The reverse works for me! Now if they could make it 3+3 style or in my case 4+3 for a seven , that would be something!

I have a reverse headstock Anderson Drop Top 7 on order. First one with a reverse headstock ever built.

Why did he design Anderson's headstock? Are you talking the original or the current design?

Hate both their headstocks, out of the new(er) faces in the builder crowd I think Luxxtone has an amazing headstock, he really nailed it. I would own a couple suhrs right this second if it wasnt for that ugly ass headstock...sorry it just drives me nuts...

Some people care about what their guitars look like. There's nothing childish about that, especially when there are so many choices out there. People are attracted to the instrument for many reasons, and it's not unusual to have both a musical and visual expectation and taste.

Tyler has not only the ugliest headstock, but is also one of the ugliest strat copies ever built!(IMO) The Burning water is absolutely hideous, I am sure it plays amazing though

Honorable mention goes to Caparison..the reverse "elf shoe" is also horrid...
