Sully vs Luxxtone

Luxxtone is on another level especially with the fretwork
Agree here 1000%, I’ve owned a lot of nice guitars and with the attention to detail Jerry has its hard to beat, plus the broken in feel you get with his necks beat a lot of other guitar makers for playability. Luxxtone has my vote here.

See that is where I am at. I think wether I go with Luxxtone, Charvel or Sully I’m gonna be happy. So then it comes down to what do I really want to go with. I been hearing that Charvel CS can be challenging to navigate ordering unless you go with a preferred dealer. I don’t have a relationship with any of the preferred dealers. I’m not into the drama. Luxxtone gives me everything I want and I get a bit of that boutique high level stuff that only Jerry can deliver. Every day I get closer to pulling the trigger.

Are all the Luxxtones all aged/relic'd? I think every one I've seen has been. I don't mind a really light aging (but I still don't want it) but no more.

Several of us know someone who has two custom orders in line from Charvel. I think it's been over two years at this point. I wouldn't even consider it. My Luxxtone shipped yesterday (ordered in January) and they were great to deal with. Super friendly.

I think if you custom order he will do whatever, I’ve seen a few of his guitars go out that have no aging to them, but most of the stuff he does is all relic’s/aged. I have 3 and they have textured finishes but no relicing, I’m not a fan of that style really

Luxxtone for me! My experience has been that they are always in tune and easy to play. Truly a professional tool and set up as such. Most have some level of relic and some have no relic at all. Looks & aesthetics are important because if a guitar inspires you to pick it up then the rest is up to you...

John I am hearing a lot of that which is why I am going to go with Luxxtone. I know Charvel is a sought after brand and waiting two years just helps the hype but they need to hold on to more talent or develop more talent so that they can lower those insane return times!
