Super cheap wireless worth it?

I bought one of these just over a year ago. I've been using it pretty much constantly, and I've tried walking all around the house while playing. Even two floors up from the band room, it does not cut out. For the most part it's a pretty good unit. I'm not sure I really like the ergonomics of it. It works well with a Strat, but is kinda just hangin there in the way with other guitars. Battery life seems decent, and it charges up pretty quick.
Worth the money IMO.

Yeah they work great, way better than one of your friends tripping on your cable ripping it out along with the jack and wiring while going to stage dive before the sick bust you can’t play now cause you are unplugged ruing the gig.

The Line 6 G10 is more than good for home. I gigged with it no problem. Now I use it at home, pretty solid for the price.
The g10 actually sounds better than the other line 6 units I have tried and is super simple and convenient. I have gigged mine probably 10 times with zero issues

so the g10S, whilst out of my initial cost range (funny how quickly that falls by the side) sits on the pedal board, metal case vs plastic on the g10, and 130' range vs 50' on the g10.

its an extra 50$ or so...

can anyone vouch for the legitimacy of differences between the g10 and 10s?

If it sounds like the g10 then it sounds kickass

I use the Sennheiser Xsw but had the g10 in the past and it was fine for home use.

I appreciate all the input. So looking at these units, i'm thinking about getting the Line6 G10S. its more than i really wanted to spend,..but WTH, right. i like the range, and battery life...and the dock charge, thought not a deal maker/breaker is a cool feature. you dudes are the coolest!
  1. Ammoon - $65, 98’ range, 8 hrs battery, 5.6 ms, USB charger
  2. Xvives - $154, 70’ range, 4-5 hrs battery, 6ms latency, USB charger,
  3. Line 6 G10s - $200, 130’ range, 6-8 hrs battery, dock charger
  4. Boss WL-50 - $220, 65’ range, 12 hrs battery, 2.5 ms, dock charger

I had the G10 & now the G10s
Great units, the s is a worthwhile upgrade
Bonus- you can plug unplug into different guitars as it does it silently (unlike xvive)

I used a G10 live for a couple years. After a while I had a lot of dropouts if I was more than 10-15 feet from the receiver. I upgraded to the G50 and had less issues, but still an occasional dropout. I then figured out I could change the G50 to RF1 (comes preset to RF2). After switching to RF1 I haven't had a single issue. I've read that wifi signals can cause an issue, and our band does use wifi so everyone can control their in-ear mix from their phones/tablets. I now use the G10 for jamming at home and never have an issue, but I live out in the sticks so I'm not fighting a bunch of neighbors' wifi signals

I have been curious about some of those new cheaper ones you can find on Amazon for about $60 that run at 5.8ghz.

It seems like many of these other units like Line 6, Boss, and Xvive all run at 2.4ghz and can interfere with wi-fi. I wonder if the 5.8ghz units have less issues with that.

Alright so I pulled a straight woman move and changed my mind at the last friggin second. Literally had the G10s in my cart on Amazon....then bought this instead. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07ZJYDN4D/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I figured I’ll try the cheap0 and it it sucks I’ll return it and buy the g10s.
Damn it, downtown...One of the reasons that pushed me for the shure was all the reviews about the power chord or connection to the receiver failing. Sometimes the receiver itself failing. The first hand experience you have from Crankray makes that 50$ difference between the 10 and 10s seem extremely appealing. Could be the difference between owning a paperweight or a useful tool next year.

I know man I’m a sucker for bargain gear. Though I’ve got 2bills to throw at the g10s... what can I say. ?

it’s free returns so I’m comfortable if it’s hot garbage I can get a full refund. But you’re right I don’t need it breaking in my guitars or amps. I did reed some of those reviews.

I’m sure for home use it will be fine

I hope it works out. But tell us how you like it either way. One way or another, having the wireless frees you in a way like no other. Really useful for maxing out amp (with volume rolled) and getting out of path of destruction before trying to get the wife to divorce you
